We only stayed for one night, but we wished to stay longer! Marie is a lovely person and prepared a perfect dinner and breakfast for us. We had a nice room on the first floor with a great view, very clean and comfortable! This is definitely the best guesthouse of our trip! If you want to book a room, please do that directly and not via booking, to give Marie the chance to save the agency fee. You can really trust her!
We stayed in the upper room with balcony and fantastic view. The room is perfectly clean and new, and could be 100 euro, but Marie let's you stay for a very good price, so I would sugest to keep it clean, out of respect for her. The breakfast is very good (even smoothie) and is on a terras with amazing view. Stay as long as you can, because it's hard to leave a nice place like this. Pris & Chris from Belgium
This B&B was a first class find! 10 points out of 10! We got a room which included everything we needed – and a lot more! And the view from our balcony was to die for! We were hesitant to ask for breakfast at 6am, so we said 6.30. Yet fine with the wonderful hostess, Marie! (I had learnt that you must go early if you want to see views because of clouds.) The breakfast was such a treat! Homemade jam, juice, bread – I dont know it all! Everything was delicious! The price for the stay was very cheap! We don't know why. Something super about Marie is that she speaks ENGLISH! We did not meet anybody else at Reunion that did! So we were able to ask all our questions. She also guided us to a short cut up to the vulcano. Travelling so, we made it before the clouds! This B&B is difficult to find at TA – sorry to say. I have contacted them and asked why. (It has different names: ”Chambres d'hôtes Chez Marie” on Booking.com) After this B&B we went to another one which I also cannot find at TA. It is ”Villa Niagara” near Sainte-Suzanne. Sorry I cannot write a review because that B&B is absolute the opposite to Chez Marie. It was filthy with old, used sheets compared to Marie’s super clean sheets, room, toilet – everything! Contact with Marie was always prompt and efficient. We’d love to go all the way back to Reunion again. And first of all we will ask Marie if we can stay at her house!…
