We thought we had booked tigh na Mara for a night over Easter as I emailed to confirm we would like to book and called to confirm the booking, this was back in January for an April stay and it was confirmed on the phone (I have checked my phone bill which confirms the call. As I hadn't received a...

The view over the Bay is the first thing that hits you from the house, the warm, friendly welcome and the fantastic service follows this up. Linda, thank you for a great weekend, warm clean, relaxed and lovely choice for breakfast. The smoked Haddock and poached eggs were fantastic. Situated in Castlebay, very near to 3 good restaurants, parking opposite,...

Literally 1 minute from the ferry terminal (Oban to Barra) makes this lovely Guest House easy to find and it is right in the heart of the amenities of Castlebay. We were warmly received and the rooms were modern, bright and had a sea view. Linda, the proprietor, gave us good information on the local facilities and recommendations on where...

We stayed 2 nights in this cosy, warm, well established guest house. The location could not be improved, as we simply rolled from the ferry terminal to the front door, and were cordially welcomed by our most accommodating hostess. The room was beautifully decorated, with en suite bathroom, kettle with a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. We felt...

Travelling into Castlebay by ferry is a great experince in itself and a very short walk brings you to this well established guesthouse. Linda is a wonderful host who really knows how to welcome and care for her guests. Great room, great breakfasts and interesting fellow guests from all over the world. Not to be missed!

Had a lovely double room overlooking the sea, very clean, great breakfast & was nice not to have to choice the night before, lovely fresh fruit to start, Ferry just over the road & great place to eat there as well, who wants to stay in a hotel with great B&B just along the road.

Guest Houses like this are what make holiday's fun. Quite a spacious room, though the in-room shower cubicle is a bit tight for a bloater like myself. The bed was lovely and comfy, and of course the nights were utterly quiet, despite being on the main road" around the island. Breakfasts - excellent, and a chance to chat to some...

When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was a fuchsia hedge that left me stunned becuse I had never seen fuchsias living outside so up North. The landlady was very friendly and welcoming, the room clean and warm and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast I had was very tasty and with plenty of choices. The B&B is at...
