I can not wait to go back! The Sanctuary Condominiums were different than anything I had experienced in the past...it is definitely and literally 'off the beaten path' - they are set on the beach with jungle on either side and I probably relaxed more than any other place I've ever visited! True Paradise! The condo was large, clean and... More

My husband and I decided that we needed to escape the rat race of our NJ life and a few days at the Sanctuary condominium fit the bill perfectly. The condos are located about 1 1/2 hour drive from Liberia airport. The last part of the road is gravel, which is the only reason I didn't give the condos a... More

The Sanctuary Condominiums are great for that get-away-from-it-all traveller who doesn't mind being off the beaten path, staying in a very low-key, relaxed place. Very little formality about the place, nestled between the beach and the local road. Lots of wildlife to be seen around the property, a couple of very nice pools to use in close proximity to all... This was our first stay at The Sanctuary, we had a good time there! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Leah, Jessica, Zack, and Mike are the management team that have been running this place for about 3 years now. They recommended a lot of great spots for eating and entertainment! The #1 spot on our list is Lola's! The property... More

This is my third time to the area but my first time staying with the Sanctuary. Our trip couldn't have gone any better. Our condo was beautiful and very clean. It had everything we needed and we stocked up on groceries on our way in. There is something so serene about having the jungle on one side of you and... More

At the beginning it may seem far away from everything, but once you arrive and get settled, you discover that it is the ideal place to stay in order to get in touch with nature. The ocean is great but rough, the beach has soft sand with beautiful cobalt blue color. Lots of shells and crabs. Amazing sunsets. The people... More

Stayed here with a timeshare exchange thru Interval International. Very large unit. 2 BR 2 full baths, full kitchen, dining area and LR. Clean, but a bit worn. Each condo is individually owned. I can only speak of the unit I was in. Lowest building, condo #13....... It's located in a very remote section. You'll definitely need to rent a... More

As I am sittiing at work today I cannot help but to remember back to exactly 8 years ago today. I almost died that day after getting caught in a rip tide while spear fishing at Puerto San Juanillo (just down the road from the resort). The reef was like being immersed into a discovery channel program, so much beautiful... More

The food and crew at the Sanctuary was wonderful. We had a nice room right above the office with an "over the trees" view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Prices were very reasonable but above all the staff was great. They were constantly providing us with whatever we needed without interfering with our solitude. While the drive from Liberia Airport...
