I travelled to Snowdonia to climb Mt Snowdon, and experience the stunning scenery. Dolawel Guest House is superbly situated in a wonderful location, which provides excellent flexibility for both mountaineers and casual walkers. The rooms were homely, very clean, and had excellent en-suite facilities. Pat and Alister were a wonderful couple. They were very respectful and friendly throughout my stay....

When I was originally looking for places to stay in Wales, I looked at the top reviews. I'm glad that I took their advice and booked our stay here. The clincher was the fact that they had dogs. It's a dog lover's paradise here. If you aren't into dogs, then you should book here so that you can LEARN to...

Thanks Pat and Alistair very much for sharing your wonderful hospitality with us. The room was very comfortable, clean and had many homely touches, which was all the better as it made the stay more relaxing. Exactly what we needed after a good hike around Snowdonia. Thanks for the tips on getting around and the extra snacks you left us...

Upon arrival, we recieved a very warm welcome. The rooms are clean, comfortable and offer great views. The location is more than adequate to get to the local shops and has been a continuous favourite Guest House for three running years.

Booked the Dolawel on the same day I was staying as my visti to Blaenau Ffestiniog had sentimental memories. No idea what to expect, but boy was I surprised. The standard was so high throughout, it was a real "hidden gem". Both Alistar and Pat treated me as friends from my arrival and Alistar went out of his way to...

We can thoroughly recommend Dolawel Guest House as a delightful place to stay. The owners are wonderfully caring and friendly and our room was comfortable to the point of sumptuous. The gracious house is set back from the road and surrounded by a beautiful garden, full of birds and there ample (and secure) parking. Our room was spotlessly clean, the...

We have now stayed at Pat and Alastair's B&B on three occasions, and have no plans to look elsewhere for better value or comfort. It will beat many local hotels. They offer a warm and hospitable welcome in lovely traditional Welsh surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble in this cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Pat also serves a delicious cooked breakfast...

I recently stayed here for 3 nights, It was my second stay in 3 months. Both Alister and Pat made my stay enjoyable. The breakfast was brilliant as were the rooms. The rooms were the most tasteful I have ever encountered in all my years of being working away. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I will be returning...

When we arrived Alister opened the gates for us to allow us to put our car in the car park. Every time we left the guest house, Alister was always on hand to help with the gates, even waving us out when he'd checked to see there was no traffic coming. We discussed what our plans were and Alister immediately...

This was the most pleasant place to stay. I showed up short notice and they happened to have a vacancy. I arrived by train, took the five minute walk to the House, and slept like a baby. The hospitality was remarkable. I knew I wanted to hike and they gave me a map, helped me pick routes, showed me the bus...
