Nothing can beat the relaxation of sitting on the patio at dawn in Hotel Luna del Rio. They only have a handful of rooms, right over the river Rio san Juan. I stayed with my family in the downstairs room. Everything in the room was perfect and to a much higher standard than you w

We spent 4 great nights at Hotel Luna Del Rio in El Castillo, booking 2 rooms that overlooked the river. The hotel is a cosy and nicely appointed place, with air conditioning in the rooms, clean and simple en suite bathrooms and lovely balconies with swinging chairs. Breakfast wa

The room was lovely but small. We had a small balcony overlooking the little "street", there was ac but we didn't need it just opened the balcony doors. It is very stylish with a handcrafted feel, the bed and pillows were the most comfortable we experienced on a month long trip

This is an OK little hotel. Safe and secure. The draw is the Owner / Manger and the river balcony. The rooms and bathroom are very small. Comfortable bed, good air conditioner. Breakfast included was good. Hot water for shower but water flow is like a mist. Walls are very

Response from Aventura S, gg at Hotel Luna del Rio
Responded 5 Mar 2018
Dear Mr Jerry and Mr Tim, thanks for your commentary , your 5 star to the manager and in general your good appreciation on our hotel. I just would like to clarify you that due to the tropical rainforest where we are, the rain is really hard, this makes us obligatory to have some protection on one side of the wall where the wind is extremely strong. At the same time and due that Luna del rio is built with certified wood, the wood is a natural material that changes according to the weather, this is why in a little part of the wood in your room you could see thinly a little part of the plastic which is so neccesary as the rubber boots in the jungle. As you know we are in a community, it is a small community but we all live here so we can not stop neigbourghs from building their houses. I imagine you can not either in your country. For sure , they were working in real day times and not in the very morning understanding there is a hotel close by. I am very sorry you came in that moment because now they are finishing . The rooms to the river are so insonorised that you can not hear from the other side. As you reserved one day before comming, all the rooms to the river were ocuppied. As any hotel in any country you pay for where you are and for the service. Luna del rio offers a excellent location and we try to have the best service, it is a combination that makes our clients to have commentaries so good as all you can read in this page, 4 star to up. I am willing to say that if you stayed and decided to stay one more night was because you were confortable, otherwise you could have change to the better value option you said but you did not. Thank you very much and i really appreciate your reward back to our service during your stay.

What type of pool is at this hotel? Chlorinated or salt water?
Small boutique hotel over looking the river. Beautiful spot but no pool. Not sure any of the hotels there have a pool.

What is the best way to get there from San Juan Del Sur? Thank you.
Sorry for my late reaction. We came from Granada by car, but from San Juan Del Sur I think you can only come there via Managua and then to San Carlos, and from San Carlos you have to take a boat to El Castillo.

Je suis en train de préparer mon voyage au Nicaragua et à El Castillo. J'hésite encore entre 2 hotels à El Castillo. Pouvez vous m'en dire plus sur le camping tour ? Merci d'avance pour vos réponses.
