This is by far the cleanest and best maintained motel I've ever stayed at and is perfect for groups. Our group has stayed here many times over the last several years and I've never herd a complaint. The rec room is a great area for everyone to meet up in and Dora and Paul are fantastic hosts. I can't say...

Stayed here while sledding with a couple of buddies last week. The motel room had 3 single beds which was perfect. The Rec Room was the perfect place to relax after a day on the trails. Paul and Dora are great hosts. We'll be returning for sure. Thanks guys. See you soon.

We visited this motel on the September long weekend. We stayed at the small cabin by the road. The grounds are well kept and the owners are really friendly and helpful. Their recommendations on where to eat and what to see were right on. At night Paul built a fire and we roasted marshmallows and watched the stars. The cabin...

We visited this motel this past Saturday for a family gathering for our Thanksgiving supper. The "Club House" where we gathered is a very comfy and spacious room. It is tastefully decorated and is built completely in logs, very much complimenting the rural setting. There were 21 of us, and nobody was crowded. Everybody very much enjoyed themselves as we...

Very well maintained premise and rooms. From welcome chocolates on the pillow to the extra pair of blankets and the inspiring messages posted on the walls, all stand testimony to the host's attention to details. Full marks for the location, nestled between dense trees and stones throw away from the Twelve miles lake, yet just around the corner on Hwy...

I stayed here with a girlfriend for a wedding that we were attending locally. Paul and Dora were lovely hosts that were polite and friendly from booking, to check-in and check-out. Dora took the time to recommend some local places for dinner and things we should see in town. We definitely took her up on her suggestions and were not...

A wonderful quiet motel with friendly hosts and very personal touch. Have stayed here multiple times over the past few years and always feel welcome. The pride that Paul and Dora take in the daily care of their motel shows in the attention to detail of the gardens, woodwork and friendly evening bonfire. My favourite place in one of the...

Stayed at both the loft and the cottage over the last 2 years. Will continue to keep booking for my holidays. Major reason of repeat bookings is how clean everything is. Owners are super nice and offered help many times. Even started the camp fire for us after we were just mentioning it with them we enjoyed it. Wife and...

The Highland Motel: A quiet little motel in the middle of the woods, alongside a beautiful lake, in the Haliburton Highlands. This was our "get away from it all" in 2009. We loved it then: Quiet, clean, and comfortable. And reasonably priced. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants. We visited some of the local vistas. And we loved the secluded beach...
