Our stay at the Dominion was lovely. The room was clean and cozy, they provided a keurig machine with coffee and hot chocolate, the wifi works great and there's a lively pub downstairs. The manager was kind and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. One thing to mention: if you are planning to arrive late, make...

As some other people have said, the photos don't do hotel justice. The rooms are newly renovated and clean. Nice beds, sheets etc...Air conditioning was nice this summer. Our King room had corner fireplace - i think electric...You pick up keys at bar downstairs LOL. Stayed for a couple of beers at pub and the food is pretty good there....

In the quaint town of Minden, Ont., nestled in the main street among the many merchants, is a wonderful gem of a place...the Dominion HotelPub! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night(weekend) stay. There are 6 rooms, all cozy, clean and modern with a flair of country charm. Our lovely room had a very nice view of the...

Nicely furnished rooms at the middle of the town. Good bed and clean bathrooms. Windows need some fixing though. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There's a restaurant/bar downstairs but the food is only average.

In the Ontario vernacular, a "hotel" is not just a place to stay, but rather a place to have a drink or two. We stopped in at this hotel, while on a motorcycle trip through the Kawarthas and Muskokas. We did not spend the night but rather had a drink or two. We sat on the patio on a sunny...

I'm so happy that we chose to stay at the Dominion Hotel for our weekend stay in the area. I cannot say enough great things about the hotel and the people who work there. There room was incredibly comfortable and clean. We stayed in the family room, which was the only one available when we booked. Although we didn't make...

We visited for a couple of day this fall and liked the hotel very much. The owners have obviously invested quite a bit in modernizing the hotel while keeping its country charm. All of the rooms have deep soaker tubs and unbelievable comfortable mattresses. It was also very clean and when we had a small problem they took care of...

It was a cute little hotel on top of a pub. Even though it's a little strip, it still had everything we needed-- pharmacy, great breakfast area, dinner downstairs, a cafe 1 minute walk, a convenience store, etc. The Spanish lady working downstairs was very helpful. The room was super cute and the bed very comfortable. All around a great...

Had the opportunity to return to Minden for more curling, so we opted again for the Dominion. Poor experience this time. Very poor choice. They have a couple of rooms that are characterized as family rooms. In fact, when I was at the Dominion in March, I checked one of them out and I was impressed. So, when I knew...

The Dominion Hotel is a great little spot to stay overnight in Minden. I stayed for 4 nites in March/April 2011 while acting as chaperone to four young boys who were participating in a curling event. My team and I felt very "at home." The rooms we had (Rooms 1 and 2) were freshly renovated and very tastefully decorated. The...
