My husband and I stayed at the Aparthotel Playa Calera on our honeymoon for one week. Flight/Ferry/Transfer We travelled with Thomson, as our baggage one of the first coming off the plan we were lucky enough to catch the ferry with 5 minutes to spare. Some other couples were not so lucky and had to wait for 6 hours, Just...

Stayed for 3 nights and would highly recommend. The large, spacious room was spotlessly clean, bed comfortable, nice bathroom and plenty of hot water for the shower. The room also had living area with a small kitchenette which was well equipped with crockery, cutlery and utensils. There was a small fridge which was very handy for storing drinks and lunch...

First to explain the title. If you ever wondered where all the hippies went from the sixties you will find them here. They haven't aged (well not many of them) as they generally seem to be in their 20's and 30's but I have never seen so many in any holiday resort before. Not that there were any in the...

I echo all the positive reviews! Lovely clean and spacious hotel, in a perfect location, with more than a dozen restaurants within a few minutes walk, along with the beach and shops. We would recommend the Malaysian restaurant, along with the Indian, and you can have great tapas at Mango on the seafront. The staff at the hotel were polite...

Everything was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and contemporary. All the staff were friendly and helpful - particularly those in reception. The choice at breakfast was vast with the hot food and cakes varied each day. We wanted for nothing. The location was lovely - minutes from the sea, local restaurants and shops. Loved the drums on the beach...

This hotel is placed right next to the beach and is an excellent base for a relaxing holiday or for walking in the hills and mountains. The bedrooms are roomy and the mini kitchen is well equiped . The beds very comfortable ( no lumps and bumps ), and the choice of breakfast is huge and very varied from fresh...

Our first visit to this hotel in Valle Gran Ray, La Gomera. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, and the sitting area likewise. A small, but adequate kitchenette. Bathroom with a bathtub/shower and toiletries replenished every day. Our room was at the back of the hotel, which meant no sun on the terrace, but very...

This is the best hotel in La Gomera, "Period". Not because of the sober and appealing design of the building or the interior of the room, not because of the smart location close to everything that you need as a tourist. Not because of the incredible smart pool on the top of the roof out of the wind or the...

Came to the Canary Islands on our honeymoon, stayed at Playa Calera for 5 nights and absolutely loved it. The room was huge, way bigger than most European hotels. It had a nice big balcony, nice kitchenette, sitting area. The hotel seems brand new and clean, it's in my favorite area of Valle Gran Rey. Near a grocery store, cafes,...

I really enjoyed my 6 days here in this quiet location. The rooms were modern, well equipped with a small kitchenette and a nice sitting area. Great big comfy bed completed the space. There was no table to eat on inside but the terrace had a table and was a good size. Bathroom was spacious. The room was an ideal...
