Just stayed 7 nights at Bambu and absolutely loved it. Toplocation at a marvelous quiet beach (in july), really sweet people, fanatstic rooms in kind of Flinstone-style with great view over Pacific. We stayed in Bambu-room, which probably is the best room. Superbreakfast just nextdoor on the beach. If you want to relax this is the place. Have fun!

We stayed at Bambu in the middle of March. We didn’t have any reservation and hoped to find some hotel upon arrival. When we get a taxi at Huatulco airport and asked a driver about a nice hotel in San Agustinillo, he suggested Bambu. But we decided to have a look at other hotels. After visiting 3 or 4 of...

My wife and I spent 6 Nights at Bambu. Loved it! We had the room upstairs with a great view of the ocean a large deck (surrounding a Coconut tree) and sliding door / walls that open for a open air feel. The room had a second level loft with another double bed. all of this under a natural thatched...

For the perfect balance of a comfortable and laid back beach holiday you can't beat hotel Bambu in San Augustinillo. The rooms are all thatched in traditional fashion with high ceilings open to the ocean, not twenty metres from your door. You couldn't get closer to the beach! There are four poster style beds with sprawling mosquito nets at night...

I definately agree with all the opinions below. My two cents would be that more than a hotel this is Memo's place that he shares with his guests. The kitchen is there to be used and people come by daily selling fruits, vegetables and fish so you can cook there or go to any of the local good restaurants nearby....

After one night at another place where our room looked like a closet (sump pump included), my boyfriend and I wandered down to Bambu to check the availability. We were able to get a room that night and the next for a total of about $80 (USD). The room was beautiful and felt like you were sleeping outside. The bathroom...

We stayed at Bambu at the end of Jan/early Feb 2012 - what a treat. We made arrangements with Memo, before we left Canada - as we weren't sure about travel with a toddler and didn't want to arrive and not have a place to stay. Memo is marvelous - so friendly and helpful. Bambu itself is a true gem....

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoy our stay at The Bambu. It is indeed the perfect place to hang loose and forget one's worries. We had the chance to stay in the cabana Palapa (one of the 2 upper rooms). The room is unique in itself and full of features worth discovering. I'll just say, that waking up at sunrise...

I began mentally composing this review from the loft bed under a palapa hut roof that gave me a triangle-shaped view of the sea and stars. Bambu offers an incomparable beach experience. The simple but open design allows ocean breezes to filter through the palm trees, cabanas, and communal kitchen flanked by hammocks, chaise lounges and beach chairs. Memo and...

We stayed for a week in the largest cabana, the "main house" above the kitchen and felt like we were on a movie set. As you will see from the website pictures, it is an incredible palapa structure made with what seem to be 25 foot ceilings. This room has 2 queen beds, so it might be a good choice...
