We stayed in this hotel en route south and couldn't find a better stopover in terms of service and food even though it does all add up to be expensive. Dinner was superb although (other than the cheapest set meal which we had twice) it is expensive, especially with wine (although this is rather wonderful). Breakfast was the best I... More

We stayed here one night on the advice of our son who has been a repeat customer. The hotel is located in a small village several kilometers from the wine region and provides a quiet and relaxed retreat from a wine tasting tour. The hotel itself is made up of several buildings. The main building was created from an old... More

Highlights include the very friendly staff and amazing dining opportunities. The hotel room was very large and easily accommodated our family of five. The hotel is located in the charming and quiet village of Bouilland next to a stream and a hillside of cows and sheep. Echoing another reviewer I would have appreciated an in-room coffee and tea service. There... More

This quiet hotel is in a tiny village north of Savigny les Beaune andwithin very easy reach of many of the great Burgundy wine producers. The food is highly innovative, the wine list as you would expect is outstanding, the rooms excellent and the welcome is friendly.

We last stayed here in 2010 and, after this recent three night visit, are pleased to report that our positive feelings remain unchanged. Bouilland retains its charm and the owners of the hotel are as friendly and welcoming as ever. A piece of good fortune saw us being upgraded to one of the superior rooms just across the road. We... Imagine a tiny, lovely village surrounded by wheat fields, and yet very close to Beaune and many famous vineyards in Burgundy... a small river running by your table at a starred restaurant with delicious food... charming welcome by the owners... a nice bedroom with plenty of space and a balcony overlooking a sunny landscape - truly a little corner of... Stayed 1 night in May 2010 part of our Burgundy trip and discovery of the aera. Location of Bouilland is relaxing because in the middle of nature and nowhere. If you look for this, for relaxing, quietness and walking, then this is a place to go. Hotel staff was nice and polite too. Under Swiss management staff. Hotel itself looks... More

Bouilland is a quiet little village in a most attractive small valley about 15 minutes drive out of Beaune. On one side there are hillside meadows and opposite are some quite spectacular towering cliffs. Both provide some lovely walking. We have stayed at the Hostellerie du Vieux Moulin around eight or nine times over the last ten years or so... More

This is a lovely hotel in a small village about 10kms north of Beaune. It is situated in a picturesque, peaceful valley, and as the setting is rather remote you really need good weather to appreciate it fully. We had a very well furnished modern room in the annexe with a balcony overlooking the village. The food was excellent as... More
