We got married here and could not have wished for more. The setting is beautiful there was snow on the mountains surrounding the loch stunning. Gary the manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make our wedding an amazing day. He facilitated the day to ensure it went smoothly. We were very happy to find we...

Had a great three days staying in the Portsonachan Hotel, which was everything I expected it to be! As a base for visiting parts of Scotland, like Oban, Inverary and Loch Fyne, this was an ideal location. Lovely to be so deep into the peaceful countryside. The hotel offered everything you could need for a relaxing break, including a lounge/board...

Can't say enough good things about this place. Wonderful staff, food and location. Did a fantastic job catering for my wife who is Coeliac as all food is made fresh and easily tweaked. Thanks Gary we had a great stay and will be back.

The hotel is in a beautiful and remote location, and is charming. The staff were friendly and attentive. If you are looking for chic boutique then this isn't it, but if you are after periodic charm and tranquility then this is the place for you. Had a relaxing time, and since I've taken up running, it was a fantastic early...

Dear Jon. H Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you had a relaxing time. This is our second visit to the hotel and we were pleasantly surprised with the changes since our first visit. The location is stunning and we stayed in a coach house apartment as we took our three dogs with us, the apartment was brilliant, comfortable and warm with everything you need for a few days stay. We ate in the...

Husband & I were accommodated in Lunga, which turned out to be a one bedroom small apartment/lodge. we had bought a 3 night b & b deal at an agricultural show last year and decided to use this past weekend. The lodge provided had all the space we needed and was clean. The only fault is that the Hotel &...

When you look on the Atlas map oost of us have in the car, it is the hotel marked, not the village. Miles from anywhere, the stunning setting next to Loch Awe, overlooking the mountains is breathtaking. Everyone arriving couldnt help taking photos before entering reception. The staff, although only small in compliment, were, in my view, second to now....

My wife and myself have just returned from a three night stay. Stayed in one of the lodges for three nights with two large dogs. The lodge was very comfortable, warm, adequately furnished and kitted out. Bedlinen and towels were excellent in quality. The dogs were made very welcome. Loch views and walks were great. The only downside to be honest was the food and restaurant service. We ate in the bar...

Stayed here twice and third stay booked. Comfortable accommodation with loch views. Quality breakfast. Friendly staff. Located close enough to use as base for touring some of Scotland's beautiful countryside, Glen Coe, Fort William, Ben Nevis. Evening meals were reasonably priced as well.
