Such an amazing stay that exceeded all expectation and would highly recommend Forest View Guest House to anyone passing through Sabie and proved to be such a great base camp to explore what the area had to offer. Great Staff that provided us with all the information and hidden secrets around and the location was absolutely incredible with everything you...

We only stayed for 1 night (x2 adults and x1 child). The bedroom and bathroom is spacious, neat and tidy. Heather is a wonderful host. She kept in contact with us before we checked in and gave us lots of information of "things to do" in Sabie. The communal kitchen is well equipped. The view from the first floor is...

Very nice place with a nice host. The room was clean and comfi. And the guest house has a very, very large shared kitchen and living room. Nice way to get to know the rest of the guest. We did stay only one night, so we can't tell much about Sabie.

We had an amazing stay.the guest house is located where there is a beautiful view. There's a spa next opposite and many other fun places to go to.Mac Mac falls and pools, and God's window. The downfall was just the carpet in bedroom and the living room have a smell when wet.And if your downstairs you can hear noise from people walking upstairs...

Thank you for the review; we do appreciate feedback. It is unfortunate that the much needed rains were so heavy during your stay, and managed to find a way through the open door and windows to dampen the carpets. I'm sure we've all been in that situation before, and can only wait for a bit of sunshine to dry out...

Room was fine with gigantic bathroom! Did not do breakfast but just a short walk to a bar/restaurant, The Woodsman, which did a very good breakfast. Also within easy walking distance of town centre, other good restaurants and the excellent Sabie Brewing Company which makes, and serves, very good "real ale" and decent food.

We felt very welcome and Ann was such a helpful host! Perfect Service. The Forest View is perfectly situated downtown Sabie and Restaurants and Shops are in Walking distance. The only downside was the cold invthe house.. no real heating during Winter months.

We came from Johannesburg and just had an overnight stay before heading to Kruger. Very nice house, well equiped kitchen, nice terrace and lovely rooms. Helpful owner who even gave us an upgrade since the house wasn't fully booked. Great Setting! Check out some waterfalls and enjoy the landscape before you go to Kruger!

Our little apartment was a brilliant place to stay as a family of 4. It was beautifully spacious, and had all the creature comforts of home. The extra little touches, like wifi and a kids channel on the dstv bouquet (to help wind the kids down in the evening), makes it a place we will definitely recommend to anyone and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Forest View Guest House & Self Catering rests in Sabie - a small Tourist and Forestry village nestled in a softly pristine valley hosting the renowned Sabie River. Endless Pine plantations feather the Drakensburg escarpment mountains surrounding this charming little town, with its variety of Restaurants, Pubs, Shops and treats around every corner. Dining venues vary from a renovated Train Diner Carriage to the Sabie Brewery Co Restaurant, the infamous Wild Fig Tree, the African Elephant, Zano’s, and of course The Woodsman Pub & Restaurant. When the exquisite Waterfalls of Sabie have taken your breath away, and you embark on the wondrous Panorama Route with all of its amazing attractions, treat yourself to a Breakfast Picnic under the trees of Mac Mac Pools, and plunge into the crystal clear mountain stream Rock Pools, just 10km out of town. The Panorama Route offers such a wealth of spectacular attractions, it’s hard to decide which direction to take out of Sabie – the Kruger National Park being just 45km away down the twisting R536, upon which Bikers love to test their lean angles and take in the mossy, earthy smell of the riverbank as the road dips and turns, then snakes its way towards Hazyview and the Big Five. Stay at Forest View Guest House & Self Catering, where it’s hard to get enough of Sabie’s spectacular surroundings, and where there are plenty of wonders still in wait for those who love the outdoors. We have secure parking on the grounds and non-smoking accommodation. Smoking is however permitted on the deck and in the garden. For cycling enthusiasts, numerous Cycling and Mountain Bike challenges are held in and around Sabie, as well as the Long Tom Marathon for runners. Sabie also hosts the renowned SASOL Rally. We offer clean, comfortable and fully serviced - 2 x Double Rooms, 1 x Triple Suite, 1 x 4 Sleeper Self-Catering Apartment and 1 x 5 Sleeper-Self Catering Apartment. Groups of 7 or 16 persons welcome. Check In time is between 2pm and 7pm. Reception closes at 7pm. ... more   less
