We stayed here for 3 nights and wished it could have been a lot longer. The rooms were beautifully appointed, very spacious and clean. Janet and John are great hosts with a wealth of knowledge of the area, which they helpfully passed on. The breakfasts were substantial and they provided a good variety of food. The are some lovely little...

We stayed at Porcupine Ridge for 5 lovely days. The breakfast was lovely, the rooms (we stayed in 2) were comfortable and cosy). The room with a view over the mountains was especially nice. But what made the stay so wonderful were the hosts, Janet and John. They were so warm and friendly and welcoming. They gave us lots of...

Hi Janine, Thank you for the great review! It was such a pleasure to meet you both and we really enjoyed our chats. Our guests don't often stay for longer than a couple of days but there is so much to do in this area and five days gave us chance to really get to know you both so it...

John and Janet gave us a very warm welcome at their little haven. We immediately felt at home. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Very familiar and cosy atmosphere. Janet makes the best scrambled eggs I've ever eaten! The lush green and well looked-after garden is home to many bird species. Our hosts gave us lots of...

Thank you, Meike, for the great review! We're so sorry your stay was marred by the rain but glad you were able to make the most of it with a day in Kruger - never much of a hardship! It was lovely to meet you both, and your parents, we hope you'll come back one day to enjoy all the...

A lovely building set in a magnificent garden which was in full bloom and had lots of birds. The porch and garden seat both are perfect settings for relaxing and enjoying the view. Our room was nicely decorated and had every amenity including sherry and chocolates. Breakfast was well cooked and presented and John was interesting to chat to.. The...

Thank you for your lovely review. It was my pleasure to help out with your tyre. I'm glad I could find a suitable replacement close by in Hazyview so you did not lose too much of your precious holiday time! I hope you had no further car problems and had a great holiday.

Hosts Janet and John, really make you feel at home, we requested breakfast @ 5h30am as we were starting our mtb race @ 7am each day. The rooms are well maintained, warm and inviting, especially those overlooking the garden! The view overlooking the valley to Hazyview from the exquisite garden is beautiful. This was our 3rd visit to P.Ridge and...

Back in the same room enjoying the company of Janet and John and their friendly animals. Couldn't be more helpful. Will definitely return when we are next back in the area. Very helpful hints about the town and amenities.

This small guest house is a very nice place to relax! We had a very nice room and a bright and pleasant bathroom. The guest house has a large garden with a lot of birds - lovely! The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is a pure delight. How ever, the guest house doesn’t have in-room, but we...

Thank you very much for your kind review. We are concerned that you rated 'sleep quality' and 'service' as 'average' and would be most grateful if you would contact us to discuss any shortcomings, apart from the limited Wi-Fi coverage, so we can improve. We are happy that you hope to return and look forward to welcoming you back!

Me and wife stayed here for Valentines weekend. We were very warmly welcomed by John and Janet. The place is so peacefull with a beautifull view of the mountains and conplimented by the exquisite garden. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but would have enjoyed a tv with dstv in the room. The breakfast was also of good quality.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. We are sorry you missed having TV in the room. I'm afraid we have a bit of a 'thing' about TVs in bedrooms and prefer to keep the bedroom section quiet & peaceful for everyone's benefit. The comfortable guest lounge has TV with the full DSTV bouquet so we hope the lack of TV...

Fabulous location just off the beaten track, great touring base for the breath taking Blyde Canyon (do not miss this) and Kruger game park (so lucky to see all of the Big Five up close and also a pack of Painted Dogs with vultures circling above, happily a little further off). Charming hosts Janet and John could not have been...
