We stayed there twice, to and from Lençois Maranhenses. First of all, the hostel is in a nice location, just a few meters from the main square of the old town. The rooms are rather spacious and each laid out differently. The first time we got one with a view into the inner courtyard, the second time one with a...

Stayed here just for 1 night to get a flight to Rio de Janeiro. Lay out and decoration of the pousada are interesting. Rooms are spacious and have A/C. Empty mini bar. But... unless you really need to be in this area, I would rather not stay in the historical center of São Luis at all. Brasil has beautiful cities,...

The location is great if you are planning to visit the historical center. Other than that, this hotel is just awful: broken air conditioning, no windows in most of the rooms, doors don't close properly, smelly bathroom, stained bed sheets, bed bugs, ton of mosquito, broken TV, empty mini bar, disgusting breakfast...and when you ask the front desk to address...

If you want to experiment how favelas look like, then it's a perfect stay! Dirty covers, cockroaches in the shower, disgusting breakfast and real noisy place if your room is on the street side. Not to forget the reception service which is mabe optional.

The location, right next to the city's main square and in the heart of the old town, is the best thing. Price is a little expensive but the hotel is very nice, quite colonial indeed. The breakfast was very good! Many things to choose among When it comes to the rooms try to take one away from the main streets...

To be honest, I really liked this Pousada; however, looking back, I think it you have to be in Sao Luis to appreciate it. The whole histoci part of town is completly not well kept, meaning: fallinig apart. So when you go into this pousada, to me, it felt like a paradise. The building is beautiful, the social areas are...

It is always a delight and pleasure to write a review of a hotel that exceeded expectations. This pousada is a combination of three old buildings in the heart of the historic centre. One can almost get lost in its interconnected floors and passage, many of which overlook the beautiful relaxation area and restaurant. Having looked at the reviews and wanting...

During our time in brazil we have been in quite a number of hotels and pousadas. We didnt expect too much of it in the first place due to the reviews given here by other visitors, but we thought they were all exaggerating, so we decided to stay there for one night in order to rest some time before we...

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel. The building was restored with love for detail and everything was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovingly presented and the buffet had plenty of choice. We had dinner at the restaurant belonging to the hotel and the pizza was delicious as well! The...

  • I doubt this shower screen has ever been cleaned, meldew stains and soap scum
  • to my surprise, the seat came off when I stood up from the toilet seat
  • Gaps on my wall, to the outside where the trees are.
  • This is the first room I checked in, as you can see there is a hole on the floor.
