Hosteria papagayo south accomodated our large group end of January. My roommate and I were installed in room Bolivar. Great room, and nice Hosteria: cosy, fireplace, lovely personel (from Maira and the Finnish girl to the guy who helpt out with the fireplace), nice hang-out area, garden where you can stroll around, WiFi, horsebackriding for those interested, ... I slept...

My boyfriend and I went on a two-day horseback ride to the Cotopaxi National park starting from the Hosteria PapaGayo close to Machachi. It is a warm and charming place to stay with nice staff and not far from Quito while having the possibility to explore the gorgeous nature around in many possible ways. Not only the green scenery was...

Hosteria-PapaGayo South has an instant homely feel to it. The staff is incredibly welcoming, warm and helpful. The surrounding area is beautiful. The garden is gorgeous, with great views of mountains. The location is great, offering many posibilities for activities. I took a trip to Cotopaxi, which was very well organised, and very close. The horse tours offer great views...

Food was delicious as always, this is my second time being there. The facilities are beautiful and the quiet landscape is lovely. They help us to coordinate our horse ride on the Illinizas. They social areas are cozy and the room chimney top-notch.

A calm place to relax and do some hikes in the region. There is a restaurant at the place - food is great and staff friendly. Rooms are clean but in need of some renovation work. Nice (included) breakfast - you can choose from about 4 different options. Price a bit high compared to other places in the region.

The hotel is a beautiful old house with a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. But food is really too expensive (tortilla chips con guacamole 7 USD; one grilled banana in a sugar sauce 5 USD) and only okay. Avoid the chicken wings. But we can recommend the chocolate cake!
