We have stayed in many hotels over the last 30 years, all over the world but also many in France. I can honestly say that the overall experience at Chateau de la Treyne was amongst the best we have had anywhere, at any price. The property, the position and the people are all outstanding. The Michelin star restaurant has the...

We stayed two nights at Chateau La Treyne and were disappointed with the attentiveness, service and room. When we arrived the welcome was friendly but rushed. The hotel couldn't find our reservation and they didn't assist us with the luggage. The room was small and outdated, especially the bathroom. It reminded us most of small B&B's in New England and...

5 of 5 bubbles Pending review The entire experience from breakfast to the bar to the restaurant was dazzling. Very professional. The chateau is absolutely gorgeous and the staff excellent: very friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious. The public rooms are decorated very tastefully and beautifully. A fire was in the fireplace in the cozy sitting room outside...

The best place I have ever been. Be prepared to ne welcome by madame Gombert, the owner of the property herself, and her brilliant staff. How can I describe dinner?? I can't!!! Haute cuisine in literal sense, a Michelin star laureate chef, and the Louis XIII banquet room. The sommelier is fantastic. Wanna feel alive? Try there. I bet you...

A very lovely property with excellent service and staff. It exceeded all of our expectations! I meant to surprise my husband with an extra couple of days on our trip staying here, and it really delivered! We got the cheapest room, and it was still luxurious and comfortable. The restaurant is out of this world. You just don't find a...

From the moment we arrived the team at Château de la Treyne treated us like long lost family. The owner Stephanie came to introduce herself and welcome us to her and her husbands beautifully restored château. The rooms are exceptional. Opening the shutters we had the most incredible view of the Dordogne river and surrounding countryside. It was so peaceful...the...
