I love The Orange House! I have stayed many times over the last 10 years and have always enjoyed a very warm and friendly welcome for Sam and Richard. They are great hosts. The 'Orangers' work hard to try to keep a very busy Hostel clean and tidy, never easy with so many climbers staying, most of whom want to...

I recently stayed at the Orange House for a week end of Jan/beginning of Feb. My partner and a few of my friends have stayed there before and raved about how awesome it was. They weren't lying! I felt completely at home there. All the amenities were easily accessible, clean and best of all... the shower was hot! Just want...

- Good place to meet other climbers, usually foreign climbers, so you better speak English! - The house is nice, the view as well. The place just needs to be a bit taken care of. This could be a really nice place... - the camping area (grass area) is full of dog poop, which is not cleaned everyday ... so...

Reviews mean so much to a small business like ours and my heart is always in my mouth when I start to read. We all care so very much about The Orange House and after 14 years this will never change and when we read a negative review it really makes us all very sad, staff and owners equally. I...

for the amount per person per night you could not beat this for value. the manager was there as soon as we rang the bell, and very helpful too. outside was lovely, and the views were to die for. I can understand why the inside is a little unloved as this accommodation is normally for hen/stag functions. please hire a...

Elle, thanks for the positive comments made about The Orange House. I am sorry that you thought the inside was a little unloved! We made a mistake this year and had decided to have stag and hen groups and then Family rental and then stags again! We do change around alot of the things inside, like nice bedside lights, rugs,...

Stayed here as a group of 9 for a week of climbing. Orange House came recommended so expectations were high. The social aspect was great & we enjoyed meeting other climbers who made suggestions & who we sometimes met on the crags. As others have said, the place does need a bit of TLC but it is well equipped in...

Thanks for giving us such high points when some things obviously need addressing. Can I just say that that kitchen is the big downside of the whole operation and the major stress in my life! Each year we try hard to make it work better! I am so sorry that the large group took over your space, even with signs...

Alice thanks so much for the kind words! And most important thanks for the leaving the place nice and tidy! I must admit I was a tad worried when we had such a large young group, but please spread the word how happy I was to come to see the house. You are more than welcome next year but we...

My first ever trip away on my own and I was on one of the climbing courses under the instruction of Rich Mayfield. I had a fantastic time and felt very welcome and comfortable and both Rich and his wife Sam went out of their way to make my stay very enjoyable. The system where "oranges" worked well for me...

Great place to meet other climbers/walkers. I stayed with my son. We had some great days out climbing and walking in the lovely Costa Blanca hills then some great evenings swapping stories over beers with the others in the hut. The people working there were lovely interesting people. We will definitely be back.
