The hostal is a mix of 4 or 5 properties, on different levels with rooms, bar, restaurant, rooftop swimming pool and shaded sitting areas. We stayed for two nights during our tour of Andalucia. Our room was Appartemento (#6) and was an ensuite bedroom with a lower living room with kitchen area and tables etc., which we did not use,...

Beautiful and amazing. Once you enter the place, you feel like in a fairy tale. Rooms, bar and restaurant are all separate but linked together. Beautiful patios, balconies and shared spaces full of plants and magic make you feel really special. Friendly staff and a pool are just another advantage of this place. It is also beautifully situated in a...

I was cycling through southern Spain and happened to find this hotel. It is in an amazing town and I wish I'd had more time to spend there. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the restaurant is absolutely amazing.

This is a fabulous little place! This place is in a stunning little village easily accessible by train. It's a beautiful, rambling old place in a perfect Spanish village street. The room was comfortable and well appointed, the food was delicious and there is a truly oasis-like little swimming pool on the roof. The staff are lovely - they kindly...

Stayed at the Hostal el Anon for three nights at the end of May. On arrival I was stunned by the design of the hotel. The hotel is a perfect match for the beautiful town of Jimena de la Frontera. The hotel is quirky and has a wonderful layout as a result of being the result of five houses being...

We booked as part of a large group in Jimena for a friend's birthday - we pretty much took over the hotel. The architecture of the hotel is what strikes you first. It is unassuming from the outside but the hotel is actually made of 12 houses cleverly joined together to form the rooms, dining spaces etc. This means that...

Hostel Anon is a wonderful place, I would recommend it to anyone planning a visit through Cádiz. The room is charming and had a very comfortable bed, and a rain shower! The resturant has very friendly staff and the food was delicious. Also, I love the lush plants in the center of the hotel. Great place to relax for a...

Very friendly host. Great breakfast. Smaller place with local atmosphere. Nice nature. Very steep streets. Apartment was ok but a little dark and humid. Love the restaurant - food is good and locals also visit.

Our philosophy of travel is to wander around with a sketch of a plan and an open mind, spending more or less time in a place, depending on what unfolds. El Anon grabbed us right from the start. As Suzanne led us up and down through the maze of terraces and courtyards that make up the public spaces at el...
