First of all Spello is a very small, delightful hill town and this little gem is perfectly located in the center. There was considerable construction while we were there, updating some of the infrastructure, but that will be completed and the town will be perfect once again. There are lovely common areas and a delightful courtyard with a view, an...

The location is great although parking can be a challenge since the hotel has no designated parking and is in the middle of an old zone with few spaces. Service was excellent with a fairly complete breakfast. The room was in need of some maintenance in that the light in the bathroom lacked a fixture and there was some rust...

We have just come back from this stunning village Spello. I had booked Palazzo Bocci for our four nights stay and rang them the night before we were due to make sure our room was available as i had not had a confirmation from them. The blunt girl on the phone confirmed our room. On our arrival the outside of...

Located smack in the centre of the charming medieval town of Spello, this place makes you feel like a million dollars. Imagine you're Gregory Peck or Audrey Hepburn as you drift through the spacious, lavishly decorated halls. Sink your head into your soft, comfortable pillow and dream away watching the delicate murals in your room.

While this is an older property (as in 17nth century), the bed was comfortable, the rooms sound proofed, and the breakfast most agreeable. More importantly, the small town of Spello is absolutely charming and this hotel is in the very middle of it. It's an easy drive to Assisi. I am always awe struck with the basilica, but much of...

The Palazzo Bocci is about half way up the Via Cavour, a one-way main street of Spello. Very centrally located with restaurants, an ATM, and food shops nearby. The hotel itself is sort of a mishmash of buildings with a variety of levels, not all accessible by elevator. I was in a strange room on a level not serviced by...

We stayed 3 nights for the "Infiorate" festival in June. The hotel is a charming building with a richly furnished lounge. It has Escher-like stairs leading off in various directions over multiple floors, so finding other parts of the hotel was kind of an adventure. There is a fast elevator. Our room (201-superior queen) was nicely sized, had a smallish...

Right in the heart of Spello, this villa was a perfect spot for an overnight after visiting the Strada di Sangrantino. Beautiful interiors, spacious rooms with high ceilings and a lovely large outdoor terrace in the center of the villa which I imagine is used in the warmer months for breakfasts. The staff was friendly and efficient; hotel was quiet...

The hotel is right in the middle of Spello, a beautiful example of the hill towns of Italy. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff are pleasant, co-operative and helpful, and breakfast is pleasant. We visited at the height of the August/September tourist rush, and it seems that now every hill town in Italy has some sort of festival...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Palazzo Bocci, which opened as a hotel in 1992, has paintings by Benvenuto Crispoldi and an architectural style that is enlivened by in-between floors, split-levels and niches. The building offers its guests surroundings and rooms that evoke an atmosphere of rare beauty, such as the fountain at the entrance, the hanging garden with two century-old palm trees, the spectacular Hall of Frescoes, the rooms, the luxurious suites, plus views and hidden corners that the Hotel Palazzo Bocci jealously preserves as if they were a treasure. ... more   less
