At Sellados Villas you find three very exclusive houses embedding a kidney shaped pool. The 4th house which is little smaller is reserved to the owner when they are on Lesbos. We had chance to meet Dimitri and Angela at our arrival and can truly say thank you very much for a warm welcome. It was very special to us. The houses are awsome, you won't miss anything there. We rented one for our small 3 headed family and enjoyed it very much. Angelas aestethic touch and decoration for the interior joins Dimitirs expertise how to build a solid rock house. Ours had 3 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a large living room where kitchen is also located all together on 2 floors. Each floor has its own large terrace with table and chairs. Its realy lovely made and arranged. The ground is perfect sized and luxus sunbeds with parasol waiting for you at the pool. You also find big trees on one side of the pool if you like to have shade. Depth of pool is 1,2m on one side and goes down to 2m on other. We found 3 different ways to the beach. The shortest brings you after approx. 200m to a rocky lonesome place. The second one is maybe double as long away and with pebbles on beach. The long way takes about 10-15min to walk you are then at the center of main beach. This is where you find the most people and also free parasol and sunbeds. A couple of taverns are also located there. You have a Minimarked 15min walking distance away, but its better to drive with car to Plomari. I would guess it takes 8-10min to drive there. Its located at the big town square and they have everything you need for a good price.…
Luxurious 'un-Greek' holiday villa. Nice location on the green side of Lesbos, you need a car to get around, although there are two nice restaurants and a lovely beach in walking distance. One large downside is the fact that no cleaning is included in the stay. Bedsheets and towels are changed twice a week, but the large villa is not cleaned. We booked through Elizawashere, and they could not solve this problem during our stay. After our holiday they were also very reluctant in solving and acknowledging the problem. Given the price and luxury of this accommodation, it is unbelievable no cleaning was included.
We had a wonderful summer holiday at the 3 houses in this relatively remote part of Lesvos Island. The architecture of the houses is great, they are built up from beautiful local stones and the houses are similar to each other. The differences are very small, such as colour of kitchen cabinets. The only other difference which may be relevant is the situation of the houses relative to each other. However, in the end this also does not make too much of a difference, as each is close to the pool and each has terraces on various sides, so you can always be in the sun or in the shade. The shade may be preferable in a July holiday. The houses are quite well equipped and look good also on the inside, especially, in our experience, for Greek standards. The pool is nice for families with kids, although not protected by a gate, so you need to keep an eye on your small ones, to make sure they do not end up in the pool unintended. The direct surroundings are well kept. The rest of the street is a mix of very small holiday resorts and holiday villas (mostly used by the Greek owners when we were there). The seaside (rocks) is less than 100 meters at the end of the street. If you walk through a small lane between the villas and the olive groves, you end up at the Agio Isidoros beach in about 3 minutes. The beach is beautiful although almost only pebbles and no sand. The beach bars are at the other (far) end of the beach at Agios Isidoros proper. There is a small tavern in Agia Varvara which is ok, but you will definitely need a car to get anywhere else.…
Artitecual high standard villa Nice views Relaxed environment Walking distance to nice beaches and good restaurants Clean house and surroundings with high standard interior Conclusion: good quality/price ratio, we defenitely will consider to go back
We were 6 adults and we stayed at Sellados in May 2011. I can not fault the accomodation, the facilities and the surrounding area. The villas are high quality and everything that a traveller needs is included. We had an amazing time there and it was difficult to leave. The villas are clean and maintained to a high standard. The surrounds are impeccable and the cafes and taverns within walking distance of the villas provide fabulous homemade Greek food at its best! Highly recommend the Alternative Cafe. A small mini mart is not far either. One suggestion for Dimitris - for us Aussies we did miss having a toaster and a kettle but we did manage and it didn't detract from our stay at all. We would certainly stay there again and recommend them to anyone wanting a lovely relaxing place to stay while investigating the surrounding areas.…
Looking for a Villa in Lesvos, we visited www.sellados.gr and we received the courteous response of the owner's son. We rent a “Sellados Villa” for one week, but we ended up staying a little longer... The children were playing in the pool and the garden all the day, my parents used to rest on the terraces with the great views, me and my wife enjoyed the beautiful beach, the trips in the surrounding area, the lovely seaside taverns in St. Barbara, St. Isidore and the “ouzo” drinking festivities in beautiful Plomari under the big plane, the so-called “Platanos”. Superb the villa with a modern kitchen, a comfortable lounge and lovely bedrooms. Very good cleaning by Mrs. Pelagia and polite and considerate the owners. We will definitely come back soon!
