My wife and I had a wedding to attend in Porthcawl and looking at the hotel accommodation it was limited to say the least so we looked at Guest Houses as an alternative. Using Trip Advisor we got the final selection down to three and decided on the Olivia House. The best room was available, the Balcony Suite, so we...

Fabulous themed roomed The French Room with lots attention to detail. Quirky touches. Very welcoming entrance hall and sitting room again furnished to very high standard. No trouble parking up for the weekend just outside. Lovely roll top bath and toiletries and robes provided. Amazing breakfast until mid day (heaven!) in local coffee house. Cappuccino to die for. Nothing too...

Stayed at the hotel recently, can only say how much better it is than all the other options in the area. The restaurant was fantastic also, wide choice of food. The staff at both hotel and restaurant were very helpful. They gave my wife and I excellent advice on walking routes and activities to do in the local area.

This B & B is something out of the ordinary. We travel quite a lot using hotels and B & B's but only a few stay in your thoughts. Some because of frustration and disappointment and others like this one because they seek to provide an experience of feeling provided for and treated. We don't want to stay in a...

My dad is fairly able but Annette, Tamara and Frazier helped him in so many ways and was so much appreciated. Very thoughtful of them. The hotel was immaculate in every way. It is owner Annete's home too and it was...

This B&B was the chosen one for a surf weekend with friends. It is really nice and cosy if you are planning to stay a few nights and do surfing in the area. The service is good and the rooms are nice. They are nicely decorated. The bed is really comfy. Breakfast is fantastic with a lot of quality. It...

Olivia House is a lovely period house, in a row of striking balconied villas just off the esplanade. It is handy for the prom, the centre and right next to the theatre. It was easy to find and easy to park. I suspect the rooms have been furnished with the same care and flair as our hosts' own home -...

A two night stay in a wonderful unique bolt hole B&B in Porthcawl ...Annette and Danielle were the most delightfully eccentric pair of luscious ladies the other side of the Bristol Channel you could ever wish too meet! The room was very clean, peaceful,a comfortable bed & well stocked with teas & coffee. We had a very funny night dining at...
