Hotel Lubumbashi, managed by professional team, provides clean-cozy rooms for a great price. The hotel houses a nice swimming pool, a restaurant next to it. A well stock bar for booze lovers.
It also has small cute coffee shop, a barber shop next to it. The staff is helpful, friendly. The small garden houses swings and cute sitting area.
The restaurant serves most veg and non-veg dishes. A USD 5 Shawarma is enough for one person as one course meal. The managerial team is always ready to help us, going an extra mile.
A super market next to it. A taxi stand is at a stone throw distance. Mining city Kolwezi is 250+ from this place.
Make sure they arrange pick up and protocol services (by air travellers), if you are visiting the country for the first time.

The rooms are simple, hygienic, have wifi and mini bar. The housekeeping needs improvement of staff guest handling. Food in restaurant is good, except dessert & Chinese. Buffet breakfast was good. TV channels need upgrading. Overall comfortable stay.

This probably my fifth stay at Hotel Lubumbashi in the last 3 years. Each time I stay here there is a lot of improvement made in the hotel rooms and service. There are very few quality hotels in the city of Lubumbashi and anyone whose ever stayed in this city knows well that the highest rating of hotels is maximum a 3 or 4 star. I like to stay in this hotel because first of all its a clean hotel. Its location is right in the centre of town. The rooms have just been renovated. There is one restaurant in this hotel of which the food is of very good quality. If you are fond of Indian cuisine then this is the hotel to stay in. This trip i even met the owner of this hotel. He's a very humble man and always greets you well and has a smile on his face.

From the moment they collect you at airport USD45 per person in same vehicle. Their restaurant prices is more expensive than Catch and Le Boucher. Crap breakfast setup and only Indian food taste decent, its Indian owned hotel.

dangerous hotel - a fradulant email was sent from their account for payment of the rooms and conference facilities. when we tried to solve the problem and.repay - the management gave us another account number - which was blacklisted. During the whole.odessy we were kept against our will and by force by the management - as if we had been taken hostage. No apologies given! Unbelievable experience.

I normally stay at the Karavia when I am in Lubumbashi, very simply because its reputed to be the best 5 star hotel in the city.
On this particular trip, I was joining some colleagues for a one night trip so it was logistical easier to stay with them at Hotel Lubumbashi.
Though I had some apprehensions, I was very pleasantly surprised. Aside from having the best shower in the city, service is good, rooms are massive, and the restaurant offers a nice variety of cuisine.
To top it all off, the rates are very attractive and the hotel is bang in the middle of the city.

I've stayed at Hotel Lubumbashi twice for business meetings, once in late 2016 and again this month in 2017. The hotel management is continuously updating and expanding the facilities to provide a complete and relaxing stay.
The hotel facilities are excellent for large meetings with various size conference rooms, comfortable additional work space for small groups and individuals, and excellent buffet service for large groups. The restaurant has a good selection of dishes, with a large number of Indian dishes. The table service is quick, considerate and very attentive.
The guest rooms are clean, well appointed and roomy. The bathrooms are modern and clean, and the beds are large and very comfortable with nice, soft pillows.
During both my stays the hotel management was always checking on customer satisfaction, and any even slight small concern addressed immediately. As an individual and as a director of an NGO, I am most satisfied and happy to always return to Hotel Lubumbashi.

The staff in this hotel were very threatening, involved in a fraudulent payment that made the organisers of the conference lose all their money, and threatened our colleagues time and again. A truly horrible experience.

I stayed at the Lubumbashi Hotel on a business trip from oct 24 till oct 27 2014. My aim was to find a comfortable and not too expensive hotel ( I travel al lot allover subsaharan africa) The Lubumbashi hotel was a real discovery. A clean room ( a bit dark because of only a small window) with all the comfort you need. For having small meetings the sitting room of the minis uite is ideal. The staff is super friendly and professional and the cuisine ( especially the Indian food) is excellent. The little minusses are : the poor breakfast ; the cettle in the room but without cups and coffee. Nevertheless I would like to recommend this hotel to all people that visit Lubumbashi (withouth needing 5 star luxery and a swimming pool and gym) As from January 2015 this hotel will have some additional rooms. I hope that the prices will not go up
