I've just returned or should I say escaped from a stay in the Hotel Roma.We were part of a " school trip" with an equal mix of adults and children. Let's begin with the positives. It was reasonably warm and nobody died. The hotel is in an excellent position 50 m from the slopes. Traditional exteriors mask the minimalist decor within.This...

I'll be honest, the hotel is basic. But what do you expect when your heading to a hotel for a ski trip, and to a hotel which typically accommodates for school trips. There are ensuites in every room, comfy beds, towels and extra blankets provided, a great bar, good service, reasonable wifi and a great location. I attended last week...

The Five stars are awarded for the great value this hotel offers. The Bar is the least expensive in Claviere and lively. The evening meal is a four course & unless you are Dan Dare, nearly impossible to finish. The wine is 9 euros a LITRE. The accommodation is simple & clean and the showers the most powerful I have...

I've just spent a week there skiing with my school, rooms are relatively tidy and decent, although one problem was the bunk bed above me sunk and was almost touching me, showers and toilet area was great, however the wifi there doesn't work, the food isn't all that great and the portions are atrocious, I got a table spoon of...

We stayed here for a week on a last minute deal. The rooms are basic. They have furniture but not a lot else. Our room was quite large but was deceptively warm. our room had a big bathroom with powerful shower with lots of hot water after a day on the slopes. Location is great. Very short walk to slopes...

We have just returned from our school ski trip to the hotel Roma. It was ideal for our group. The location is great. The slopes are literally 100 steps from the boot room. The hotel is basic and clean. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant at all times. The food was adequate and plentiful although breakfast could probably be...

This is probably my 16th ski trip from my own school days of Sauze D'Ouze, through most expensive Kitzbuhl hotels. I'm back on the schoolski trips with my 3 children - my 7th in fact. Hotel Roma, Claviere was the best skiing I have ever experienced. The hotel is fantastically located, from bootroom to slopes about 50 steps down a...
