I came here for the weekend with my Fiancé. Our room was clean, modern and cosy. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant/pub and it was really good food. It was very very good value too. We would come back if in the area. Also, would recommend a trip to the local breweries :-)

Stayed here in a single room for one night, the room was basic but clean. A little tired but it is an old pub so nothing unexpected. It was so so hot though during the night as the heating was on in the middle of a sunny week in June. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast the following morning...

Just visited this pub having read the positive reviews. Really really loud music, and didn't feel welcomed at all...one to avoid in the future. I suggest if you enjoy heavy metal music and want to avoid talking with your companions, you should visit this pub.

We stayed for one night after a visit to the Black sheep brewery there was a good selection of food on the menu for an evening meal as we just wanted something light we opted for a hot sandwich with chips and then spent the evening sat in the bar among the locals with several pints of Black sheep beer...

Stayed Friday/ Saturday night with a warm welcome by staff large log fire throws out masses of heat. Big hearty well cooked breakfast sets you for day then made sure I had eaten before closing kitchen in...

What a treat! We reserved our table, cute little window seat and what a friendly welcome we had! I think the bar was slighlty understaffed when we visited, but what an amazing job the 2 ladies did on a busy friday night! We ordered our food and drinks promtly and what a quick service we had, food was so tasty...

We had 3 nights here. It's a small pub next to the market square and that is where you will need to park. The staff are down to earth people and very friendly. The rooms are not massive but the bed was very comfortable and clean as we're the towels. Tea making in the rooms. Very good choice of well...

If location is important this is ideal. Good basic accommodation with a good pub type menu that was well presented and cooked. Biggest problem is that rooms are over the bar. We stayed on a Saturday night and the clientele were noisy and rather inebriated to out it politely. Probably wouldn't go back

Despite asking for the largest, quietest room available we were allocated a tiny room(maybe they are all the same size) .The condition of the room was very poor and we would have walked out immediately had it not been early Friday evening with no real prospect of finding alternative accommodation. The shower room was also tiny and in poor order; badly...

Ok plusses first. Good breakfast and the landlady was very nice. All let down by the room we had booked a superior only to be allocated a standard as they did not know of our booking through bookings.com because there broadband wasnt working. Cable tie still holding the shower up showered more of the wall than you. No extractor fan...
