The "La Piazza" Hotel, located in the most exclusive part of the east coast of the island of Panarea, offers unequalled, breathtaking views. It is immersed in a beautiful garden surrounded by the luxuriant vegetation typical of the Aeolian Islands. Its fine position in one of the most attractive and quiet areas of Panarea will make your stay very relaxing indeed. The structure of the hotel reflects the typical styles of Aeolian architecture. The swimming pool, filled with sea water, is reserved for the guests and it is furthermore equipped with jacuzzi and any comforts you may wish. It overlooks the charming Caletta bay. The restaurant, managed by the owners, offers a wide range of delicious dishes. The interiors of the hotel are decorated with the greatest care for detail. The excellent furnishings are embellished with the most precious ceramics by renowned Sicilian artisans from Caltagirone and Santo Stefano di Camastra.

The hotel is more beautiful than pictures can convey. The experience was amazing. The staff was nice. The drinks were pricey but most of Panarea is expensive. We got the feeling Italians got more preferential service than Americans at the hotel, but that is to be expected. The staff was very professional and accommodating. Gorgeous place, would definitely come back.

This has to be the best hotel I ever visited: from the moment they pick you up at the port in the free shuttle in a golf cart, to the warm welcoming, the breathtaking view, the comfortable room, the pool over looking the ocean, the delicious breakfast, the relaxed ambiance.. it was simply perfect! Dont believe the less positive reviews: this hotel is a slice of heaven!

What a gorgeous hotel on the magical island of Panarea. Such friendly staff at this family run hotel, gorgeous room overlooking the bay, beautiful pool and pool bar. Good breakfast although I had hoped there would be more fresh tomatoes and better cheese. Very central to everything and for the price I think much nicer than Hotel Raya and it’s inflated prices.

Our room had an amazing view overlooking both the hotel pool and the ocean. The pool was great to cool off in the evenings. The dining and bar area had gorgeous views. The staff were very friendly. I will stay there again.

Good value for money, excellent location, super friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous views. To have a swimming pool on Panarea is a real bonus! Also perfect access to great swimming spot in the sea just below the hotel. Rooms are a bit dated and breakfast was ok, but totally compensated by the rest of the positives. Highly recommended for a few days of relaxing in Panarea. We recommend hiring a boat for discovering rest of island and visiting Stromboli. We are sad to leave!!

4 adults, plus a 17 & 16 YOA on a day trip to the island. We’d all been in the sea and due to its views, location and appearance chose the advertised restaurant as a place to eat late lunch. Initially welcomed in. Then not allowed to sit with a sea view despite 6 tables free in that area. Then we were told the kitchen was closed. But we ‘could’ stay for a drink. My daughter and I wanted to leave....it was clear they didn’t want us there. But we were persuaded by an insistent member of our group to stay and ‘have a beer’! 3 small beers, 2 OJs and 1 espresso were ordered.....then they brought nibbles...octopus, prawns etc very tasty and enjoyable but not requested. I walked over to look at the view and was quickly ushered away and back to my seat. The bill...... €120 and apparently we weren’t charged for the food that we didn’t order!! We spent 2 weeks in and around Siciliy this was the only place that was unwelcoming and extremely over priced. We concluded their hospitality is only extended to those whom they deem worthy. We’re unsure of their worthiness criteria but to be honest we wouldn’t want to be part of their ‘gang’. All very smiley and courteous by actually rather insidious. We’ve all turned this into funny story but was the worst hour of our 2 fabulous Sicily weeks. We’ll leave it with you to give it a go or not!!!

We stayed only one night at this wonderful hotel. The room was clean and spacious, secluded far away from the crowds, with a beautiful private terrace and stunning views on the sea. Ms Lidia, the owner, was a great host and made sure we got the table with the best view at the hotel’s restaurant for dinner. There is also a pool with salt water overlooking the sea, where we decided to spend our afternoon. We didn’t try the spa due to lack of time. Wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely come back to this hotel!

The hotel is in a great position with a stunning view from the restuarant and pool as per photos and some of the rooms are nice, but most need maintenance particularly in the bathrooms, tiles had limescale. Our terrace was filthy and though we asked for it to be cleaned it never was. A lot of stray cats complete the scarsely maintained garden area. The breakfast was a disapointment. With the exeption of a selection of low grade fruit no other fresh products, and although I asked for an alternative I was forced to eat breakfast outside the hotel. The poolarea and loungers where dirty. The manager is unfriendly and sour faced yet the rest of the staff where all extremely friendly and obliging.

Absolutely fabulous! Incredible idyllic setting with charm and character that is sadly lacking in most of today's modern establishments. A must have experience to get a taste of what heaven probably will be like. Loved every moment! Beautiful private little beach, views to die for and a lovely and caring owner. Blissfull - felt as if we were in paradise! Will definitely return next year, but for longer!
