Having paid eur240 a night for what should be a superior room we were not expecting to immediately ask for a change in the bed sheets which had a lot of hair on them. A hotel that charges such rates should be able to provide a room that is a lot better than its competition but have to say that areas such as the bathroom were dated and far worse than accomodation we stayed in that charged a forth of the price. TV didn't work and they accused us that we did something to it, and bathroom window led to the corridor. To top it up the pool area was run down with what looked like mould and the food at the restaurant was garbage, in fact returned back the meal and the replacement one was some heavily salted sauce with pasta. Big dissapointment, wasted money, so will definitely not recommend and not return to this place. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel, 3rd night we went to another hotel on the island whose general manger was interested in welcoming us at a third of the price and same size of room, admittedly with no direct sea views but still had views from a same sized verandah.

Hotel is perfectly located in a scenery spot of the island with stunning views of the sea, of archipelago and even Stromboli. Services are highest quality - all personnel very nice and smiling all day. The swimming pool with sea water was ideal for our daughter who spent most of the time there. We’ll miss the morning torta con fichi and afternoon swim until next year …

We spent 3 nights on the wonderful island of Panarea. Hotel Cincotta is certainly the best located place to stay: plunging views on the ocean and only a 3 minute walk away from the lovely port. Just a pity that the hotel’s own restaurant had closed end of September. Our room (number 1, number 7 just above shall offer same view) was tastefully decorated, large and with an huge balcony with sweeping views to Stromboli. We loved it.

This hotel is fantastic, great value and super clean. It doesn’t feel like a 3 star hotel. It’s in the perfect spot on the island and the views (from the rooms and communal areas) are incredible. Breakfast and sunset drinks are breathtaking. The pool area also has a great view and you can swim into the sea from the rocks. It’s a tiny island so you’re walking distance to everything. Federica at reception is divine and so helpful. I can’t say a bad thing about our stay.

Panarea is beautiful, unfortunately Hotel Cincotta it’s super expensive and beside the receptionist Federica who is trying her best to please the hotel guests , the price they are asking is not fair for the room standards . When you ask 350 euros for a room of 10 square meters is not matching the request . Panarea is overpriced and unbalanced . There are hundreds of youngsters piling up in small houses and adult guests which are paying high price for a very modest and noisy room . The personnel is kind and smiling but the whole structure of the hotel is run down . The food at the restaurant is very good . still you are paying it like in a city . Panarea is a lovely island . The mayor should take a choice . Either young crowds with cheap price or people who pay for a more relaxed and noise free vacation .

Beautiful hotel. We stayed in October and since the hotel is only open till 13 October there were only 2 other couples as guests. room 7 has an amazing terrace with an unbelievable view. Other rooms may also have similar view. The reception people were very nice and waived one night from our bill because our ferry was cancelled so we arrived one day later to Panarea. Pay attention that during the summer months it could be less relaxed because it is a relatively large hotel and just adjacent to the famous “Raya” hotel that seems to have noisy dance parties in season .

We were met at the ferry dock so our bags could be brought to the hotel via a mini truck while we walked there. (Although cars aren’t allowed on Panarea, you have to watch out for motorcycles, golf-cart taxis and mini trucks.) The hotel isn’t far from the dock, but is up a small hill. The friendly reception staff welcomed us in English. The hotel’s landscaping is lush with lovely flowers. If you have mobility issues, be aware that the hotel is on several levels, which means LOTS of steps. The decoration in our room was simple yet attractive. Although the double-bed room we were given is relatively small, it is large enough to fit a twin bed that we treated like a sofa. The air conditioning worked well and could be adjusted. With some rearranging of what was stocked in the fridge, we could fit our own bottles of water. The in-room safe was large enough to fit a laptop. Although the bathroom had plenty of counter space, which was welcome, it was generally disappointing because the shower was dark and small, the toilet seat was stained and the towels were on the thin side. As other reviewers have mentioned and the hotel noted upon check in, the Wi-Fi doesn’t work in the rooms. The best part of the room was the terrace, which was huge (nearly as large as the room!), included two loungers, two chairs, a side table and bench seating against the wall facing a glorious view of water and sailboats, but, sadly, not of Stromboli. (Apparently, none of the rooms have a view of Stromboli.) We brought our own binoculars to watch Stromboli’s nightly eruptions, which we were able to see from the communal terrace adjacent to the bar/lobby/lounge that has a pair of binoculars to borrow. Our private terrace was partially covered by rough trellis made of sticks, which provided some shade in the afternoon. The hotel gives you a great opportunity to watch the sunrise, but not the sunset. The lovely pool, which is on the side of a hill adjacent to the sea, is a good size and is kept very clean. You can turn on water jets near the steps. Beach towels are available. Breakfast is fine, especially if you like sweet items. Healthier yogurt and fruit are also available. Espresso and cappuccino are served on request at no extra charge. To give us a chance to see Stromboli up close and at night, the hotel was able to arrange a small-boat trip for us and just one other couple. I’ll never forget the quiet once the engine was turned off and we could hear the volcano emit a deep sigh after each small eruption. That was absolutely magical! We thought our three-night visit was the right amount of time on Panarea since the island is small.

The room is basic, but I think it was a good change from the modern rooms that you find everywhere. The view from the room is stunning, you can sit there and forget about everything. The food at the restaurant is delicious. The staff speak good English and are extremely helpful with any issue you might have - very friendly. The location is close to the port, so you don't have to walk too long to get reach the hotel. If you are lucky enough to be there when it is a full moon, you can have an unforgettable experience in Panarea and at the comfort of this hotel. I would like to thank everyone at Hotel Cincotta for taking care of us.

We loved this hotel, the rooms were nothing special but the sea view from our balcony was amazing and at a fraction of the price of the expensive hotel next door. To be fair the whole island is stunning and the hotel fits in very nicely. Lovely whitewashed walls, a nice and decently sized pool with great sea views (though the limited space means there is a unfortunate lack of sun loungers) and an equally nice breakfast. A great stay, and would love to go again! Going in June it was relatively quiet but I can imagine it could be significantly busier and louder in peak season! It does have a restaurant that appeared popular, but we didn’t try it. There’s plenty of other places to eat on the island.

We truly loved this hotel. The beautiful, relaxed atmosphere is unique and one of the most memorable (and cheapest) stays of our recent month in Italy. Check-in was seamless. The luggage porter met us at the dock, and we strolled five minutes up to the hotel. We were warmly greeted by the front desk staff, and check-in was quick and easy. Panarea is so remote, and it felt like arriving in another world. The hotel grounds are gorgeous, white washed, with splashes of green from garden spaces and full of lovely terraces for lounging. The pool deck is also immaculate, though lounge space a little limited. We loved climbing down from the pool terrace and swimming in the ocean. Apertivo at the bar, watching stromboli erupt as the sun sets is a truly once in a life time travel experience. The rooms were bright, chic and our seaview terrace near the pool was a gorgeous place for after dinner star gazing. The hotel had arranged our group in rooms next to each other, which was special. Panarea and this hotel were truly memorable. We loved strolling around the island, enjoying its relaxed hospitality and wonderful food and shopping. We highly recommend going out on a rib and visiting the other islands- particularly hulking stromboli. A special mention to Carmelo who looked after us with extraordinary charm at breakfast and apertivo every day- he contributed so much to our stay. Finally, the food at the restaurant is superb. We found it unusual that there was no wine list, but the recommendations from the sommelier were very good. We loved staying in Panarea so much that we are making the trek back to the Aeolian Islands again from Australia next year, and have already booked to return to Cincotta.
