It's a peaceful place in the mountains of Cocle. Enjoyed the waterfall and a very relaxing massage. The food at the restaurant was excellent. There is still some construction but soon to be completed. The last part of the road is bad but not terrible. Next time I will stay overnight.

My daughter and I were looking for a weekend getaway off the beaten path. We found it in Villa Tavida. The property is at the end of a paved road up the mountains, only 45 minutes from a major town. All the staff was courteous, helpful and super attentive. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable with amazing views....

My family of 5 just spent 3 lovely days over Christmas at this unique rainforest retreat. We had a lovely, home-cooked Christmas Eve dinner that was prepared and served by Juan, the manager and his wonderful, friendly staff. The accommodations were newly renovated and the grounds and gardens are simply beautiful. Each room overlooks spectacular views of the waterfall and...

We came here for the waterfall. We didn't stay the night. But we payed the fee to enjoy the waterfall ($5 per person?) and then enjoyed the terrace, hammocks, some beer and food afterwards. I can't remember the young man's name who helped us but he was very friendly. We spent some time talking, me with my beginner's spanish and...

Before I´ll put down all my complaints about this place, let me point out that the view to the waterfall is great, Jose does wonderful home-style cooking and the owner did a great job with the reforestation. He was very nice with me and I even managed to coax one or the other smile out of him, after he didn´t...

I have no complains about this hotel. It is a place to rest and relax. The views are amazing, you can see lots of birds in the morning, the waterfall was wonderful and the recepcionist Juan Antonio was very nice. Marcos, the restaurant server was great too. Don't expect this to be a regular hotel with amenities such as TV...

We stayed here one night on our way from Panama City to Boquete. We were the only guests in this beautifully located hotel. The views from our room were stunning, ovrelooking the mountains. From the restaurant you can have a good view of many colourful birds when the hotel staff feeds them. What a good decision to stay here. We...

Upon our arrival we got upgraded with to a larger room with sliding doors and an amazing view. The grounds are well looked after with many orchids flowering in the trees. Lots and lots of birds. We did an early morning hike to a waterfall - Cascade de Tavida - crossing lots of rivers and walking upstream. The swim in...
