This hotel is situated on a magnificent stretch of beach on the KwaZulu Natal Coast. Endless stretches of sand to meander along and no crowding of people. The Hotel is clean, functional and, after a recent upgrade, the amenities are fresh and modern. The room size is good and the unobstructed view from the top level suites, is spectacular. It...

Well run hotel, excellent views, friendly staff and the food is great. Had a nicely appointed room with a balcony. The deck is great overlooking the beach but my one criticism is that the deck never has sufficient umbrellas. Will return

When I first stepped inside the hotel, I was surprised that I have not heard people talking about the place before. It reminded me a lot of Pattaya, Thailand, as it had the same vibe. It is a nice place to stay and relax at, the staff is very friendly and the hotel's restaurant serves very delicious food.

We recently spent a weekend at the Salt Rock Hotel in Ballito. We had a standard room so it was quite basic, but spotlessly clean. We had a sea-facing room which I think is essential if one is going to the beach! And what a view! Panoramic views which we could enjoy from anywhere in the room. The outside terrace...

Wanting to escape from the usual cold and damp of the typical UK February we decided to spend the whole of it in S A ! Having had a short break at Salt Rock a year ago we went for the long haul and were not disappointed. Our room, like all the rooms, overlooked the sea and was superbly appointed...

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the hotel for 3 nights with family who were visiting from the UK. It's only 35 minutes from Durban, so can be an ideal location for short break. Our room was a good size with fridge, microwave and breakfast bar as well as a balcony with a perfect sea view. Air-conditioning and...

I stayed for three nights for a business training course in one of the conference rooms. I was in room number 1 which is one of the older rooms in the older part of the hotel (possibly the original building). The room had two rooms, a main room with a king size bed and a second room with two single...

The hotel is not too prepossessing from the beach side point of view, but once inside all this is forgotten. The main hospitality interior is really nicely furnished and decorated with a lovely garden and a stunning sea frontage and view, the suites are especially spacious and the staff are absolutely delightful even if they get somewhat panic stricken in...

This has to be one of the best hidden gems on the north coast. We have stayed here so many times and have never been disappointed. Old school hospitality, wonderful familiar family holiday. What a special spot. The retention of staff over all these years means something special. And this is a truly special spot.

A perfect place for a beach and relax vacation. The staff is wonderful, even though they seem to struggle somewhat against strange logistics. The food left little to want for, to very reasonable prices. The view is magnificent. The long beach and the tidal pools offer something for everyone. The water at perfect temperature and the sound if the waves...
