What a wonderful hotel. I stayed here for 4 nights with my mother whilst selling a local property so was in need of a stress-free stay. On arrival we were welcomed by the lovely staff at reception who immediately allowed us to store out large luggage there rather than drag them to our room. The hotel itself was spotless. All communal areas were thoroughly cleaned and our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels & sheets. I would have liked a kettle but they don't come supplied in many Catalonian hotels so if you need an early morning cup of tea then take a personal one. Also, there were just two tiny sachets of soap/shower gel provided so take a quick trip to the local spar. The room included a continental breakfast which was perfectly adequate and well set out. Again the breakfast staff were so professional and polite and really made us welcome. The hotel was situated near the beach and I could hear the waves lapping on the shore in the morning which was an added bonus and the general location was perfect with bars and cafes within a short walk. I absolutely loved this hotel and will certainly return.

Let's start saying it is a 2 stars hotel. Don't expect anything fancy or glamorous. But it's a clean, nice place to spend a few days in Ametlla de Mar which has one of the best sea I've see in Catalunya. The hotel personnel is nice and accommodating, the rooms spacious and clean, the position great since it is literally in front of the beach. Breakfast could be of better quality but it does its job! I will go back

To be honest, hotel is not bad but it felt expensive for what it offers... All very basic, small rooms and no views at all. Obviously I wasn't expecting for something extraordinary but nothing of the hotel is worth mentioned. If I go back, i would definitely look for another hotel in town

L'Alguer (which means seaweed!) is clean, comfortable and good value with helpful and friendly staff. You can pay a little more for sea views, in our case down the coast to the Delta d'Ebre. L'Ametlla is the least developed of the string of villages along this coast and is perfect for a relaxing short break. Its main business is Tuna fishing so that features a lot on local menus - many excellent restaurants.
