We booked the hotel for our family trip to Garmisch. The promised hotel was with wellness area, sauna, pool and fitness. Unfortunately this information was not correct. Rooms are rather old and dusty. The furniture is full used up. Hotel is really old from 50s and it is far from the expectations. Could be clean at least. Heating system was...

We actually stayed here in April 2013. We arrived separately from our tour group and were pleasantly surprised to be greeted so warmly by Barbara and Stephan and SELMA!!! Our service was wonderful, food was delicious, the room and balcony were beautiful! Thank you to our awesome hosts for making us feel so welcome to Germany!

As with previous reviewer felt quite apprehensive about this hotel but as it was part of our Oberammergau tour had to accept it. We found it a pretty, quaint, old hotel, clean and comfortable - apart from the hard beds! Shower fine. Food average for evening meal, and breakfast fine. One thing we do miss in European hotels is tea and...

After reading a couple of reviews, we were quite apprehensive about staying here. We found the these reviews not to be true at all--in fact one of them is nothing but slander. The owners and their staff were very accomodating, helpful and friendly. This is a very charming 1800's hotel with modern amenities and bathrooms. Each room has a balcony...

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July 2010, as part of Passion Play tour. I rode train from Munich to get there. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is clean and the shower water is hot. The breakfast buffet is plain but adequate. The dinner menu is very generic, devoid of bavarian flavor. Overall, the...

Positives: Picked up from train station. Friendly receptionist. Room large with balcony. Clean. Pool good. Breakfast good as long as you don't need a cooked breakfast (scrambled eggs the only hot dish). Can walk 5 mins up the hill to the ski lift (during the season). Negatives: At least 4 bus loads of tourist groups while we were there (for...

This would not make a one star rating in USA. Bathroom so small could not turn around. No hot water. One tiny bar of soap was all that was there. No sheet, just a dirty mattress pad. Woke up to flea bites. Better facilities at camp grounds. Extremely disappointing. Food was terrible.
