Lovely clean hotel that really does look just like in the photos. Lift and air conditioning, rooms are spotless and the beds wonderfully comfortable. Rooms are soundproofed and this may be the best sleep I've ever had in Amoudara. Owners, family and staff are all so lovely and really make you feel welcome. Location is great, you are a short lazy walk (less than 10 mins) from the beach which has some nice bars and places to eat, and a similar distance from the town with many bars, tourist shops and restaurants. This hotel does a continental breakfast, and bar snacks but not evening meals - no problem when it is as well situated as this. Smart little outside bar, barman Adonis serves a quite fabulous gin and tonic! Garden area is beautiful and well kept, pool is glorious. Plenty of sunloungers with shade and some tables for sitting at. Would happily come back again.…
My fiance and I stayed here for a week and had a lovely relaxing time. You are close to a supermarket and a selection of restaurants. If you go over 1km then there's even more restaurants to be had too. Beach is a few minutes walk away but to be honest we loved the pool so much we rarely went too far from that. Plenty of bar snacks and cocktails are available and can be enjoyed around the pool which we found to be generally pretty quiet (our holiday was August so peak season). It's family run and they are a lovely family, if I come to Crete again then I would definitely be comsider coming back.
We stayed here for 14 dayr. I can*t immagine the better place to stay in! Beach (is long for 5km) is in 8min walk. We had nice room on 1 floor. Barmen Anthonio was so kindly and friendly, that we use even better than at home :) room was cozy, all stuff - friendly and helpfull. The main turist street is 5min away. We drove over the island and din'=t find better place to stay in!
The hotel is located 3-5min from the Main Street of the Area which is really nice a quite. The pool is great with its plants around it and the rooms are acceptable. You can see they are old and not looked after a lot but you can live there without any major problems. The bathroom is strange because every time you shower, water will get out and there is a small hole on the floor where it I guess should drain away, but it opens up every time you step on it by accident. The balcony is nice to eat outside but beware of the table it’s shakey. There is a tv with German and English Channels. There is also a bar next to the pool which provides beer for 3€ and cheap snacks. Sometimes cats may appear which are really nice and calm. The main two we called Stella and Silizia, so give them a Hello or some cat food from time to time (they like the wet food more). The breakfast is mainly the same every day, they may change some small things from time to time though (different fruits or sheep feta instead of yoghurt). It didn’t bother us though, you have enough food options in the Main Street anyway. The staff is nice and helpful and will give you information if you need something to know. On the Main Street you can book tours but first look up several shops and compare the prices and offer. Some offer things other dont do! The beach is about 10 min from the hotel and 5-7min from the Main Street. But in that area the wind is very strong and so are the waves! If you walk 30-50min on the beach towards Heraklion, you will find better and more calm swimming places. There are a lot of loungers with umbrellas but most of them are owned by hotels. Some are from restaurants or bars which you can use if you consume something there. Others will let you use them if you pay. Have a nice stay ! And always be prepared and ask a lot because Greek people do not provide information in advance. …
Just got back from a weeks holiday with 6 girl friends and can’t recommend this hotel enough. Maria, her family and staff made us feel so welcome from the start. The beach, restaurants, shops and bus stop are around a maximum of 10mins walk. The hotel is set in a lovely setting for a small hotel and the air con was a great extra. Rooms were cleaned everyday and had all that you needed, nice shower, twin beds and balcony. Will defo be back again thanks all. Tracy from Essex.
