We've just come back from a 2 week holiday at this little gem of a hotel. First thing I must mention is the staff - they are so friendly, helpful and polite ... an extended family and others who make you feel so welcome. The receptionist, Poppy, is absolutely lovely. Whilst there it was my partners birthday. Poppy arranged a delivery of flowers for me and even picked the bouquet and they were perfect. We paid a little extra for a superior room. It was spotless. It was at the side of the hotel, with views to the mountains, and came with bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, kettle, tea and coffee (renewed daily). It had a large dressing table and mirror with sockets nearby. It had free aircon with remote control, which is easily set to quiet mode to help you sleep at night. The pool is clean and there are loads of beds and loungers. The photo which you see of the pool is actually taken from the sun terrace, which has orange, pomegranate and fig trees ... great for relaxing under to read a book. Don't be put off by the road at the front of the hotel, which others have alluded to. It really isn't that bad. It's not very wide and not that busy / noisy. It certainly didn't affect my sleep. Book an inland view room if you want to be certain. Outside of the hotel there is one long strip with loads of tavernas, restaurants, souvenir and clothes shops, creperies and ice cream parlours ... on both sides. You can catch a bus to Heraklion ( which is well worth a visit - restaurant's, shops, museums, a lovely old harbour), just outside the hotel, or, walk 150m to your right and catch the bus there because it's in the shade and you can buy your tickets in the shop opposite. Buy two tickets per person ( 1 euro and 10 cents per ticket ), one for each leg of the trip, it's cheaper than buying off the bus driver. Cross the road to go down to the beach - It's just a couple of minutes. 4km wide, lovely warm clear waters, loads of loungers - free to use at the beachside bars if you purchase a drink etc. ( I think the loungers at the hotels were reserved for the guests ). A very relaxed vibe there.

Stayed here September 2022. Hotel spotlessly clean, In a fantastic location close to restaurants and beaches. Staff lovely. Breakfast not brilliant but okay. Rooms quite small but only used it to sleep in and get changed. Rooms cleaned regularly. Pool area very quiet. It is an adults only hotel.

Just got back from this lovely family run hotel. Please do not be put off by any bad reviews. I can only say we have had an amazing two weeks at this little gem. I am very fussy and this place is immaculate. We upgraded to a superior room before going with double the size balcony which we sat out on every night until late having a drink or two after being out for the evening. We had a kettle, fridge, bath robes and slippers, air-conditioning was free and we used it every night while sleeping. Safe was extra at 2 euros aday which was well worth it. Breakfast was continental but plenty of it. As much tea and coffee and juice as you liked. We ate in the restaurant a few times and the food was excellent. Towels, sheets are changed so regularly. I can not say enough about the staff, they were the most amazing lovely people going, who called my hubby and myself by our first names every time they saw us. It was lovely to see the family sit down sometimes at the end of the evening and have their meal together after being so busy. Restaurants, shops and bars are a little short walk up the strip. You can keep walking and find a different place to eat every evening. Car hire and trips aling the strip are plentiful. Next door is a pharmacy if needed. We were not flying home until 9.30 in the evening so booked our room at a little extra price with Tui before going so we could keep it until 6pm before going to the airport. It was so nice to be able to swim and go to the beach then shower and get ready, this made such a difference then having to put your luggage down in reception at midday. Well we will be back to this small, immaculate, friendly adult only beautiful hotel. This family should be so proud of how they keep this hotel. If you get to read this then Angie and Bob would like to say thank you, yet again for such a lovely two relaxing weeks.

Just returned from the Sun Boutique. Please do not be put off by bad reviews! The hotel is quite basic, rooms adequate and everywhere is clean and tidy. Breakfast has no got food in offer which would be a big improvement. Plenty of sunbeds, nice pool. Staff are lovely and will do anything to help. Special mention to Poppy. If you want a getaway that's not going to cost the earth to a nice quiet place, then this is the place for you.

We booked 9 nights here with TUI last minute. We had requested high floor but TUI did not communicate this to the hotel as on arrival we had a ground floor room, I spoke to the lovely lady on reception and we were given a 3rd floor room. It was great, spacious, very clean, with a new mattress. FREE AIR CON! big plus, safe was extra. comfy beds, tea and coffee and bathrobes, slippers as we had booked upgraded room (only extra £35) Room was always cleaned very well and no room issues. Hairdryer was in room but no iron. Staff were very friendly and would do anything to help, breakfast was continental and perfectly fine with tea, coffee, juices, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, ham, pastries, boiled eggs etc, they do not have a toaster at breakfast but bread was supplied some toasted but cold. Bus stop is outside of hotel and some guests said was easy to use, although we hired a car which we recommend as not much to do in the local area. Nice beach (recommend Waves bar on beach) . Hotel food was really great, which we only found out on our last day and wished we had tried earlier! very good price too! Great value for money, friendly and welcoming staff, we were very happy with this hotel.

The Sun Boutique hotel is definitely NOT anywhere close to a boutique hotel at all and is far from it!!! Upon arrival we noticed that the room was a lot smaller than than expected with probably the cheapest mattress in Greece! The taps in the bathroom were all rusted as well as the plug in the basin that after shaving once got stuck and had to be replaced then I got blamed for breaking it. When it got replaced they did not provide us with a plug so the water just ran when I tried to shave. We were not told in the beginning that the towels only got replaced every second day. The staff at reception are sub par with service and don't give out any information, you have to either complain about everything or just figure it out yourself! The breakfast is sub par and and you get watched and monitored by the staff and old man while eating so you feel guilty for even being there and eating the food you payed for. The coffee machine is disgusting and watered down from the coffee machine probably to save money and looks older the Greece itself. It seems like if the food was not eaten on that day it would pay a visit to you the next day until it got rated. Could not even make our own toast, it was stale and bland! The same copy paste breakfast everyday for 6 mornings!!!!! The TV did not have any sound and seemed to be broken. I had to plug the TV In and tried to get it to work but when raised I got blamed for it not working. The hairdryer was from 2000bc and cut out 90% of the time. When we asked for a blanked we were looked at like we're were crazy. Everytime we took a shower, the bathroom flooded as there was no shower door. In a hot tropical environment with on average 34'C towels were only replaced every second day which is unacceptable and disgusting! When we asked they made it out as if we were stupid to ask and that this is standard practice with every hotel but it just seems like they can't afford to provide this service and as the lady said "we don't maintain anything unless we are told by the guest that it doesn't work" so you have to go to their run down miss leading hotel to do a snag list. Don't ask for a taxi or rented car cos they will Rob you and try give you the most expensive option so they can get kickbacks ! Don't trust them as they do not have their customers best interests at heart they just want to make as much money out of their guest as possible with no maintenance to the rooms or facilities. The only positive of this hotel was the swimming pool that was nice but closed at 19:30 so you couldn't chill in the pool on a hot evening. Considering that this is an adult's only hotel they pool should be opened until a lot later to be enjoyed. The room also had and ashtray in it so it was definitely NOT a non smoking room!! I as a non smoker also had to endure a lady snaking her face off while I was trying to enjoy eating my stale toast for breakfast. I have been to many many hotels in all different countries and this is by far the most pathetic run down and rude joke of a hotel!!!!!! They should hire staff that have been trained in hospitality and close it down for a month for maintenance and change the photos to not miss lead holiday makers!!! This felt more like a prison with cheeky rude inexperienced staff that have no clue how to run a hotel. The name of the hotel should be if you don't ask they won't tell you! You as the guest needs to figure it out and find all the issues so they can tell you it will get sorted but it will never get fixed!

Cracking little family owned Hotel listed as a 2 Star but with a great personal touch. Took an upgraded room with sea view. Lovely room, very clean, beds changed daily. Downstairs is a restaurant where you can breakfast, lunch or evening dine. Excellent food and inexpensive. The Hotel is family owned and it's that personal touch that makes all the difference. The staff/family cannot do enough for the guests and are very friendly. Only a 5 min walk to the beach or you can sun yourself at the swimming pool at the rear of the hotel

Lovely clean hotel. Staff welcoming. Breakfasts very good. Don't come to Greece expecting bacon and eggs! Eat like the Greeks - you are on holiday. I would give this hotel 10/10. Pool very clean with ample sunbeds. Beach a short walk away. Tavernas too numerous to mention each one excellent. Many shops within easy reach and bus stop just outside hotel.

Hotel is small but clean and comfortable. Ideal for couples who dont live in hotel room. Ideal as a base to explore the island further. Food is a buffet but plentiful and tasty with a reasonable choice
