Great place with nice people and friendly staff. Offers relaxation and rest as well as other activities such as ping pong etc. Comfortable pool to swim and good music to hear. Overall a nice place for a day time coffee or drink at night.

The managers of these apartments are very friendly and helpful. Ready to do anything to help you. The apartments have what it takes to have a good holiday. The apartments are close to the sea, shops, restaurants and bus stops. If you have a car, there is always the possibility to find a place to park and very well located to visit the east and west of the ridge as well as 10 minutes from Heraklion

My first time to Crete and was not disappointed, The Albatross apartments were excellent. The ground floor flat was basic but spotlessly clean, with a small kitchenette, full size fridge/freezer and nice size bedroom with very welcome air-con, There;s a lovely pool and sunbathing area, with poolside bar, serving snacks and a really good breakfast. There's a great little short cut through to the main road, for shops and restaurants, The other way is a three minute walk to the beach; perfect. To top it all were our hosts, George and his family. Such lovely, helpful people. We've really had a wonderful week. I'd fully recommend - enjoy!

We had a wonderful week in Albatross Apartments. Our apartment was just next to the pool - very handy when travelling with a child. Apartment was nice and clean. Enough space for two adults and one child. The hosts Jorgos and Maria are most wellcoming and warm-hearted hosts and our daughter simply loved the owners dogs Iris, Benjami and Electra. We had couple of times breakfast in the hotel, and it was very good. The location is excellent: very close to the beach, and plenty of restaurants & supermarkets nearby. We really can´t find anything to complain about our staying in Albatross Apartments. Very good place to stay for a family!

Albatross Apartment in Amoudara is really a good place to be near Heraklion. We´ve been in two different Apartments an they´ve both been nice, comfortable, cozy and clean with traditional greek furniure. There was air condion and - great - mosquito nets at the windows, so you could open them at all times. Breakfast is fine and absolutely affordable. There are some shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood, the beach and a bus station (KTEL) to the city, port or airport each within 2min walk. But the best thing about albatross apartments are the hosts, Maria and Georgios. They´ve been very warm-harted, caring and courteous and helped us with all our questions and needs. If you´re looking for a place to feel really in good hands, visit Maria and Georgios.

I stayed in the Albatross for work reasons from beginning of September 2014 until the beginning of December 2014. George and Maria who run the place are really very friendly and scrupulously honest. Because of the length of my stay they gave me a much cheaper price. In the course of this stay, they took us to their village for a raki harvest fest with their family and friends. Nothing touristy (we weren't even asked to pay), just a friendly gathering. They also went out of their way to make ma comfortable in my room: I changed my room a couple of weeks into the stay, and minor additions / modifications to the room were made upon request. Again for work reasons, I then had to move to a different place nearby. The owners of the new never gave me a rental contract, even though that is the law in Greece. George and Maria offered very gracious help in this situation. Albatros is not a luxury resort, but it is a very friendly place. Since I had to stay in the area for almost a year, I would every now and then pop in to say hello to George and Maria. I know that other guests have come back year in, year out, some for well over ten years. There is a very small and convenient little super market right around the corner. …

Amazing place with amazing people Maria's food is just the best 5 mins to beach and loads of lovely tavernas in the vinicity rooms r very clean and nothing is to much trouble for them drinks round the bar at nights r very enjoyable

Very nice cozy and comfortable small hotel in very good place. All things near; super market, bus stop, beach and restaurants. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful and clean surrounding, nice pool side. Rooms are ok and very good value for the price. Warm water all the time and safety box in the room. Like a lot, for budget traveller this is very suitable and nice place.
