Rooms basic but very clean. Sheets and towels changed d very 2 days except sat n Sunday when cleaners day off. George and Zak brothers xcant do enough for you. The imperial is very greek if you looking for livley I suggest somewhere else. They gave their own farm so we often got fresh grapes and melon to go along side our drinks. 2 minute walk into the front a must is to eat at patois ( windmill restaurant) never empty at anytime and gear value for money save room for free pudding x would reccomend for relaxing holiday x

The studios are very basic, we knew that from previous reviews, but as we didn’t anticipate cooking for ourselves this wasn’t a problem. Beds were comfortable enough and sheets changed 3 times during our weeks stay. Food from the snackbar was always prepared fresh and plentiful. Giorgios regularly presented us with complimentary melon, grapes and walnuts, all fresh from the farm. You can choose to relax by the great pool in full sun or dappled shade as there are trees and shrubs surrounding the area. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at imperial studios the first time as a couple and the second with our 16 month old daughter and we would definitely go back again. The rooms are basic with a fridge and kitchenette and are spotlessly clean, air conditioning is also available for the rooms if requested. The pool and surrounding gardens are very relaxing and great for a toddler who likes to explore. Georgio and Zak are fantastic hosts and can’t do enough for you. Their food is fantastic and most of it is grown / produced by them including the wine, cheese, olive oil and honey! We ate out on a few occasions but always preferred the food back at the apartments as it truly was amazing and couldn’t be beaten on price. Looking forward to book again soon.

Just back from 2 weeks at the Imperial Studios, and we had a fantastic time. The rooms are a little dated and basic but thats pretty much what you get in Greece, and who wants to spend their holiday in a hotel room. Although the rooms were basic they had a TV and were clean and spotless. Georgio & Zac couldn't do enough for you, they are amazing people and made sure we had everything we needed. The pool was big and the hotel was quiet so was like having a private pool, and could always get a sunbed. I have seen people moaning about not being able to take your own food and drink to the pool and bar but this is general practice in a lot of smaller hotels, and the prices here are not expensive as some make out. Bottle of water was 50p and coffee was £2 its hardly expensive. The food was lovely and so cheap. Close to the centre and the beach which was ideal We met a few people who had been going back here for over 16 years and you can see why, its like a little oasis. We are just booking again for May next year Thanks for a great Holiday

We have stayed here three times now. This year we initially booked into a smart hotel in central Heraklion but moved here after 3 days because it is so much more relaxing. Do not come here expecting luxury accommodation: the rooms are basic and the showers could do with a serious upgrade. Do come for the lovely gardens, the big pool and the proximity to the beach and the local shops. Most of all, come for Georgio and Zak's excellent hospitality and delicious food - if you're lucky you'll get fresh figs, grapes, melons, nuts and honey from their farm as well as lovely salads and meat dishes. PS Our teenager also loves it here!

My famil and I stayed here last year for a week and when we arrived our hearts sank. The rooms are unhygienic, the linen wasn't changed - my daughter had sheets on her bed with cigarette burns in them. When we arrived we were told we weren't allowed to consume our own food or drinks by the pool, you have to buy from the bar. Despite being assured we would have rooms together half the family were on a different floor. The cooking facilities are non existent so be prepared to eat out a lot or fork over more money to the owners. On the first night I sent my husband out to buy cleaning products so I could scrub the room. There were so many things wrong with this place that I just would like to say don't waste your money. We saved and saved for that holiday and it broke our hearts being so dissapointed. If you do complain be prepared to be unheard and disbelieved by the owners who really just want your money.

This was my 3rd time visiting Imperial Studios. Won't be my last! Rooms are very basic. This place is still the best fun I've ever had and I bribe myself through crap shifts by promising myself Ill be drinking their homemade wine again, and sunning myself on the local beach. If you want high tech and entertaining, look elsewhere. If you want beautiful wine, amazing food with a local beach and exquisitely kept pool and garden area, this is for you. I always overspend here. My budgeting tip would be to make your own breakfast of toast or cereal in the room (self catering in Greece doesn't always = hot plate) buy lunch from the local supermarket (right at main road on way to beach, first mini mart type place, filled rolls in small fridge at entrance) and you wont get a better meal in the whole resort than you'll get at the hotel. Pay tabs nightly so you know what you're spending. Get used to cockerels and stray dogs in the distance all night. It's still worth it, and actually, now I look forward to it. Can't recommend it here enough. Last trip was with my grumpy young teen - who also cant wait to come back.

This is a v late review but I havent forgotten George and Zac and the wonderful holiday they provided us. The rooms are basic but have everything you need and are spotless. The pool and gardens are perfect. Well kept and very pretty. Both sun and shade spots available and sunbeds are well spaced out. The pool is clean and a very good size . A very relaxing area - hard to tear yourself away. The pool bar is is a cool retreat from the sun. Well stocked and a friendly place. Food is simple, freshly prepared and very tasty. Your hosts are very kind, warm and friendly. They looked after both my daughter and I extremely well during our entire 2 week stay. Come here to relax, soak up the sun, read a book, eat well and slip into a quiet authentic Cretan Holiday. "No problem"! We will be back again this summer to recharge the batteries! Καλη Χρονια (Jane & Marianna) xx
