We stayed here in June 22 and fund it to be a nice family run hotel with nice staff. There are 24 rooms and they are of different costs and conditions, so not all rooms look like the best one you see, but the rooms are clean and well looked after, you see what room you are buying when you book it. Yes the pool area is open to the public, but they reserve places for hotel guests and it makes it lively, not too busy though, there were always sunbeds and booths and late at night it wasn't that busy at all. The pool music can be a little loud if you are trying to listen to your own music or podcasts, but when you close your balcony doors, you don't really hear it. free towels and water around the pool and its 3 mins from the beach which is along stretch and has beach clubs 20 mins away at a nicer part of the beach. there's a bus stop 2 mins away and you buy the 1.10 euro ticket at the shop opposite and its 20 mins into the town centre. If you walk 30-40 mins the other way you pass loads of places to shop eat and drink. The air con was fine, the noise was fine, the bathroom was small, but they are not all like that. The breakfast was good, but the lack of space prevents them having more food out, but all in all a good hotel and really nice staff. We were the only English people staying there, which some may see as a plus!…
The worst experience i've ever had in an hotel. The room was not even close to the one shown at the website, we ask to change the room, and next day the owner, the most rude guy i ever see, asked us to go out, not he, because he dont speak a word of English. He ask to the employe to tell us to leave. The only good thing the hotel have ia that employe, very nice and friendly. The room was só bad...., and the owner have no adjective to be described.
If I would have to use two words to describe this place I would use 'false advertising'. When you look up a place you see beautiful garden pool and fantastic breakfast. The rooms are meh but you think that the pool will compensate for this. But this is an illusion. When you will come they will tell you that the hotel and the pool are separate places! So basically you overpay for hotel and you cannot enjoy a pool without ordering highly overpriced food and drinks. So I recommend choosing some other place and if you want to visit the pool just do it like any other person from the street. Surely you will have superior hotel for this price and quality of your sleep will be much better without loud music until 2 am.
We were staying at a nearby hotel but we liked the look of the hotel menu on display outside so decided to give it a try on our last night. So glad we did. The restaurant is set in lush tropical gardens overlooking the pool. We did wait quite a while for the food but just enjoyed the ambience and a lovely bottle of wine. My husband had pork medallions in a cream sauce with vegetable rice he said it was delicious and ate it all. I had an amazing burger stuffed with cheese, yogurt dip, salad and fries. I loved it but couldn’t finish it, my husband helped me out and said how good it was. If we are back in Heraklion again we will definitely go back for another meal there.
We visited them in September and it was a great time spent in this hotel. Nice place and beautiful organized, a small oasis for real. Bedrooms are enough and nice designed. Beds are big enough for 3, not for two.
Open for public, very noisy. You can't sleep at nights, it's like a night club. The pool is very crowded, there aren't available deck chairs because of the public visitors. Toilets are very small. A big dissapointing. Not worthy at all.
My sisters and I stayed at the Oasis Hotel this summer from August 9-17 and honestly, we could not have found a better place to feel like at home. I highly recommend this place for long and short as well as for family and other stays for the reasons below: The accommodation and cleanness: the room we got was very clean, well-decorated, neat, modern and comfortable. It had an AC and a small fridge. We had all the convenienced in the bathroom including a hair drier. The towels were changed EVERY DAY, the room was cleans EVERY SINGLE DAY and if we happened to have been in a rush and left some stuff on the beds, we always found them neatly folded and placed on the freshly-made beds. A lot of thanks to our cleaning lady for her kindness. Food and drinks: every morning we had breakfast at the hotel and it included a great variety of home-made food. Everything was fresh and tasty. There was served more than we could eat. We were offered freshly made orange juice every morning, plus, coffee and fresh milk. For dessert we had tasty fruits: melon, watermelon, grapes, pear, plums, banana, pineapple...The surrounding of the eating area was very clean and cozy. We loved having our breakfast there and enjoying the quietness of the place. Entertainment: the hotel has a nice pool, area for sunbathing and a bar. Of course, the pool and the bar were open to outside guests but this never caused us any inconvenience. Even with the "outsiders" visiting the place, we still felt very safe and cared about there. It is worth mentioning this is a family-run hotel and the hosts were always there keeping an eye on the comfort of their visitors. The music was NEVER LOUD to bother us. Overall, we felt very relaxed there and at home. The staff: as the hotel is family-run, we got to know the family whom we liked a lot. Hostesses Daniella and Maria were exceptionally helpful with advice and guidence. They spoke English very well and we never had a problem with communication. The other staff also spoke and understood English well (unlike another hotel I happened to stay at one week before I came to the Oasis Hotel). This was a great plus. We often had dinner at the hotel and always got the best quality food and fresh juices. We made friends with everyone there as everyone was very kind and nice and caring. Location: the location of the hotel is perfect as it is very close to the beach and a supermarket, there are many restaurant around (if we fancied eating outside), and though it is on the road, we NEVER HAD A PTOBLEM WITH NOISE. It was very quiet at night and in the morning. Honestly, a piece of oasis for the best vacations. Many thanks to Daniella, Maria, their handsome brother and wonderful parents for the great welcome, family atmosphere and best vacations in Amoudara. Love and greetigs from the three Armenian sisters ❤💙 We are definitely planning to visit you again. …
Nice hotel but not catering to families. It definitely caters to younger crowd. Pool is open to the public day and night. Staff was awesome. They truly worked hard and were very friendly. Breakfast was very good. I recommend this hotel for younger crowd.
A very nice small and quiet hotel conveniently situated five minutes from the beach and five minutes by car from Heraklion center. The staff is very professional and attentive and the hotel grounds are extremely clean. There is also quality food whether talking about breakfast, lunch or dinner. The outside grounds offer a relaxing, green oasis where you can swim and enjoy your coffee. Would recommend it to everyone.
This was a great find for us, as a friendly family-run hotel, who went out of their way to make our holiday enjoyable. Breakfasts were excellent and plentiful and the fresh orange juice was out of this world After breakfast, we enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden around the pool. A local bus route passed nearby and so we could easily visit Heraklion both by day and night, Heraklion itself has a very long history , exploring the town was ideal for us.
