We spent four wonderful days at this beautiful hotel in the amazing Torres del Paine National Park.the hotel is an Eco lodge and concern for the environment was apparent throughout our stay. All the staff at the hotel and all the guides were extremely courteous and professional. When you stay here you are purchasing a total package which includes all...

Start with the view. The lodge is situated on the lake and has a terrific view of the massif of the southern Andes. While the location in Torres del Paine Park means a fairly long ride from the airport in Punta Arenas, it means a shorter ride when you go for excursions. The lodge is well designed and our room...

Dear Traveler, Thank you very much for your explora Patagonia experience review. As you say, our privileged location allows travelers to spend as much time as possible exploring the park instead of driving to it. Our guides and our explorations are the core of our experience, which is why I'm particularly glad to hear you enjoyed them both. I will...

For months I was vacillating in between Explora and Awasi. I had wanted to visit the Explora for over 10 years but the Awasi looked gorgeous as well. Explora's greatest strength is it's location. It's right in the centre of the Park with a breath-taking view of the TdP massif. The hotel offers approximately 4 activities every morning and afternoon....

The treks are breathtaking. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and contagious with enthusiasm. The rooms, meals, and service are world-class. We loved experiencing the ruggedness of Patagonia and then retreating to the simple luxuriousness of the hotel. I strongly recommend Explora Patagonia. There's internet, but don't expect a good connection.

The phrase “location, location, location” must have been created after visiting the Salto Chico Hotel. It is impossible to imagine a location as perfect as this. The other major hotels are not even outside the park but have not a location such as beautiful to compete with the one of Salto Chico. Let’s see. The national park is simply amazing....

In January 2014 we traveled with our good friends to this spectacular five star Eco-lodge. We selected the five day, all inclusive package and were blown away with this amazing place. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our lodge is located right in the heart of the extraordinary Torres del Paine National Park in southern Patagonia. The diverse and untouched landscapes of this area led UNESCO to declare it a biosphere reserve. Our Patagonia hotel lodge opened in 1993 on the banks of the Salto Chico waterfall. It affords an excellent view of the unique Paine Massif and two of the three impressive torres, or towers, which give the park its name. The lodge has 49 rooms and a variety of inviting spaces. Situated on a 3-hectare (7.4-Acre) site, the design borrows certain organic forms from the landscape itself, adapting to it with simple elegance. It was designed to create a dialogue with its environment, putting human beings in touch with the sublimity of their surroundings. For travellers, the lodge provides the welcome surprise of comfort in a remote area. Nonetheless, you are not isolated from nature, but rather placed "within" it. ... more   less
