Is the only hotel in the national park and is the best place for exploring the wonderfull park if you have money!!!! The lodge is beautifull, big rooms with a view, nice spa, good restaurant (the only negative is that rooms are somehow too hot and hot water is not working well...). The guides are very good and the trekking...

We visited explora patagonia recently and it was honestly our best trip ever! Our 2 guides Alex and Nicholas were both amazing and extremely knowledgeable. Our hikes were eye opening and even though we have never done horseback riding before the gauchos made our rides enjoyable and comfortable. The food and service were always impeccable and the view from our...

I think explora is wonderful, it just took me a long time to write a review. We visited explora Patagonia over the Christmas Holidays. I believe they have a six night minimum and we could have stayed longer. The guides are excellent/knowledgeable, the staff is friendly/helpful, decor is beautiful and the scenery is stunning. Our room had the most spectacular...

An experience of a lifetime! Explora Patagonia is located in the most beautiful place in the world! The views from the Cordillera Paine rooms were stunning! There were so many activities to choose from every day - from beginners to advanced levels. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and patient. The meals were excellent - we especially enjoyed the Quincho BBQ...

I highly recommend the Explora Hotel. In the middle of Torres del Paine far, far away from mass trourism it is the greatest starting point for trips with in the national park. All the Explora guides are well good trained learning more from the landscape and local culture. The Explora Hotel and all the staff are caring about each guest....

Explora Patagonia was the perfect blend of luxury and casual comfort. Everything from the rooms to the lounge to the dining room were perfect. All the staff, from the guides to the waiters to the front desk, were knowledgeable and helpful. And the excursions planned each day by the guides were excellent. It's a long trip to get there but...

For us Explora Lodge was extremely expensive (around USD2000 per night). We therefore expected a lot from it; such as being an exclusive property for adventurous travellers. Instead it seemed to appeal more to the masses. When we were there, there was a corporate event going on and a couple of large, very noisy groups. I had also assumed that...

Truly outstanding hotel with staggering vistas of the Cuernos del Paine as well as superb staff, guides, food and drinks. The park's offering of superb hikes through forests and wide open spaces as well as hills and mountains is spectacular. Together with views of glacial lakes and rivers, the park's magnificence is enhanced by staying here. The guides' knowledge and...

Everything about Explora is A+ but the staff is the real selling point. My mom and I went primarily for the advanced horseback riding and every excursion exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to go back. It's as close to heaven as this crazy world gets.

This hotel is one of the finest places that I have stayed at. Service is great, property I stunning, and food is amazing considering the location. The guides take you out for 1/2 day excursions or full day excursions that are ranked from beginner to expert. They are friendly and what I was impressed with was their interest in safety....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our lodge is located right in the heart of the extraordinary Torres del Paine National Park in southern Patagonia. The diverse and untouched landscapes of this area led UNESCO to declare it a biosphere reserve. Our Patagonia hotel lodge opened in 1993 on the banks of the Salto Chico waterfall. It affords an excellent view of the unique Paine Massif and two of the three impressive torres, or towers, which give the park its name. The lodge has 49 rooms and a variety of inviting spaces. Situated on a 3-hectare (7.4-Acre) site, the design borrows certain organic forms from the landscape itself, adapting to it with simple elegance. It was designed to create a dialogue with its environment, putting human beings in touch with the sublimity of their surroundings. For travellers, the lodge provides the welcome surprise of comfort in a remote area. Nonetheless, you are not isolated from nature, but rather placed "within" it. ... more   less
