This lodge is in the very remote, rugged terrain of Patagonia and is extremely well-run & well-managed! We had an extraordinary stay! The hiking guides are so knowledgeable and passionate about Patagonia. The meals were exquisite for such a remote location, and the servers were so friendly and attentive! Many fine details were planned out and prepared for by the...

This was a vacation that had an "open checkbook" and we deserved to have this segment of the trip work out better. The view from our room wasnt the best and we asked to change rooms; they did accommodate us but we should have gotten the better room in the first place. We used Cox & Kings as the tour...

There is no detail left unattended to from the comfort of the rooms and public gathering areas to the food, and the excursions. I loved the hikes, but a guide convinced me to try horseback riding and I loved that also. There are hikes and rides for every interest and ability. A highlight of each day is when guests gather...

We wanted to do something different and this trip did not disappoint! First and foremost the location is phenomenal and allows you to go on explorations of Torres del Paine with reasonable ease. The guides were professional and informative and the choices of explorations very interesting and diverse according to your interest and physical abilities. It is highly recommended that...

We're a little late with this - we actually did this trip in 2014 but TripAdvisor won't let me go back that far! Everything about this hotel simply rocks. The location, in the Torres del Paine park, is amazing. The views from the rooms (we had a suite) were stupendous. The food was excellent. Neither my husband nor I drink,...

After a long travel you finally arrive at the hotel. It has a fairly austere look from the approach, but inside it is very comforting. You are hear for the "expeditions". If the weather is fair you will want to walk the "W". We were able to do the hike and boat to Greys Lake / Glacier. Weather was too...

This is a place for fit adventurers and those a little under than this. I don't recommend for elderly in spite of meeting some here. They can enjoy the food and the view, but complain about the stenuating activities. Kids under 14 will also underappreciate it. Otherwise attention to detail is excellent. Food is excellent, hikings is basically what you...

It costs you big bucks but worth every penny. The van picks you up from Punta Arena (Why not punta natales; not reliable with weather and not every day flights), 5 hours drive with a lunch on the way (not great but we had a whatever moment). The hotel is truly remote. Nothing there except nature. The activities are fantastically...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our lodge is located right in the heart of the extraordinary Torres del Paine National Park in southern Patagonia. The diverse and untouched landscapes of this area led UNESCO to declare it a biosphere reserve. Our Patagonia hotel lodge opened in 1993 on the banks of the Salto Chico waterfall. It affords an excellent view of the unique Paine Massif and two of the three impressive torres, or towers, which give the park its name. The lodge has 49 rooms and a variety of inviting spaces. Situated on a 3-hectare (7.4-Acre) site, the design borrows certain organic forms from the landscape itself, adapting to it with simple elegance. It was designed to create a dialogue with its environment, putting human beings in touch with the sublimity of their surroundings. For travellers, the lodge provides the welcome surprise of comfort in a remote area. Nonetheless, you are not isolated from nature, but rather placed "within" it. ... more   less
