The Alisa Hotel is quite new and located behind their guesthouse on the main road. Reception was welcoming. The room was clean and modern and comfortable for a night. Bathroom was good and decent Wifi. There is storage space and a comfortable bed but no safe. Breakfast was basic but fine. We booked through Agoda but Agoda’s pay at the hotel is a scam. They charge 3% on card and if you choose to pay in local Kip their conversion rate is poor. There was little occupancy, if we stayed again we would pay the much cheaper cash rate and skip Agoda. It is fine for a night but we didn’t return to it as we passed through Paksé again and stayed at the comparable but cheaper Sang Aroun across the street.

We stayed in 2 rooms during our time in Pakse: one with 2 twin beds and one with a double bed. The rooms were spacious, clean, had good air conditioning, good wifi connection and decent bathrooms. The reception, like everyone else has mentioned before, did not speak that much english but we got our rooms fine. The location is pretty good, just a few min walk from most places. And most importantly, very close to Miss Noy's motorbike rental for the Pakse loop. Across the street is a mart where you can get pretty much everything you need.

Quite happy with this simple hotel. The room was big and clean and the staff friendly. The only problem was the off-and-on wifi upstairs; downstairs in the lobby there seemed to be no problem. The receptionist’s English is excellent and she was able to give reliable information.

This simple, no frills guesthouse works for a family. It has a/c and hot water, no breakfast but the room is clean. The rooms on the street hear the traffic at night and in the early morning hours. The staff are nice. It has a place to pull in your motorbike at night. It is close to restaurants, and transportation
