We stayed at Sol Cayo Santa Maria for 2 weeks (15/09/07-29/09/07). Straight off the coach we were welcomed by dancers and a cool cocktail. Sol Santa Maria. Initially we were given a room that we were not happy with. The sheets had blood spots on and they were grey not white. We've just returned from Sol Cayo Santa Maria after two weeks and firstly we wanted to say that we had a fabulous time. I went to the the Sol from Manchester on the 15th Sept 2007 with my partner and my nine year old son. The flight there was about 9 hours, all went smoothly and there were no delays. it was 1 1/2 hours transfer to the hotel but the bus travelled through some interesting villages and countryside so the time went...

Just got back after a 2week stay at the Sol. The complex is nice to look at but i wouldnt advise anybody to go here on a holiday. If you want to stop somewhere make it the "Melia" next door.
