I had read very mixed reviews here, but as it was recommended by a good hotelier I wanted to give it the benefit of doubt. The rooms as expected were basic, recently fitted bathroom and balcony for a reasonable price. Access to the swimming pool too, but we didn't have time to use it. When asked if we could use...

We stayed only one night. The weather wasnt great so the rooms didnt feel nice. Rather humid and cold. Also the room was very small and hot water wasnt really hot although I really needed nice hot shower after a cold day of climbing Adams peak. The food was ok but very expensive to compare with other places close to...

The hotel itself is in ok shape although they are currently doing construction which can be loud. The primary issue is that the hotel managers are so aggressively dishonest and unfriendly. On first arrival they were just outwardly rude and then when i asked about nearby food they told me there is none even though all the nearby questhouses offer...

The room was very clean and spacious with a nice balcony. Because it was off season, we got a good price. The food on the other hand was too expensive, but it's the same in most of the hotels over there. Luckily we found an affordable place to eat with tasty food. We had a good stay, but there were...

I am indian and the moment the lady at the front desk saw my skin color, she must have decided that we don't need to be treated well. Sorry to say this, but she overall gave preference to lighter skinned foreigners than us Indians, even though we paid the same amount of money and ate their OVERLY PRICED food. And...

We stayed here for 1 night. I think it is a family driven guesthouse. The daughter is busy and handle almost everything. If she had less to do, then she can without doubt give a good service. We booked through Agoda, but they didnt seem to understand how this works. Our bed was too small, not comfortable and the door...

Squalid room with horrible smell and cockroaches.... A night...mare! Only the location is interesting, if you can, choose one of the other hostels around! The worst experience during my wonderful trip in Sri Lanka

When we first arrived we were told there was only one room left and that it cost 5000 rupees. We told them this was not in our price range and that we'd look for other places. Only after we started walking out the door were we told that there were other rooms for 3000 rupees. We were told this had...

We only wanted a cheap room because we were going to get up at 2 AM to start hiking Adam's Peak. The budget room was in the basement, outside the garbage dump. The bed smelled like body odour, which masked the smell of damp. The bathroom smelled of sewer, and there were poo stains in the squat. The pillows were...

This place is also known as Grand Adams Peak and I will start the review with the positives. 1. There is a nice view from the balcony. 2. Because you get up at 2am to walk up Adams Peak you don't actually have to spend much time at the hotel. Other than that there is not much else to say...
