Filitheyo has been my sixths Maldives island and I can definitely recommend it: a beautiful, clean island, with nice accommodations (incl. spacious bathrooms with open rooftop at the shower area, providing a beautiful view to palm trees while having a shower), great food, a very beautiful house reef (definitely a differentiator) and no concrete blocks or so to protect the island. A barefoot island (no shoes needed) . Plus all the other beauties of Malediven paradise islands, such as friendly people, beautiful beaches and great hospitality. No animations or attractions in the evening, but a place for people who do not need this and rather prefer a relaxing holidays.
Fabulous This island is beautiful clean and some areas perhaps a little tlc needed - pool fab and sunset bar where you can have a la carte and eat on the beach for a romantic meal - highly recommended - water bungalows are a must huge airy and sea life can be watched from sunbed - turtles - sharks and beautiful fish swimming by without snorkelling - staff are friendly helpful and courteous - not a lot to do main bar and main restaurant - food a little repetitive but good - it’s a chill out place and was very quiet - all inclusive limited with drinks may be worth looking at paying as you go - trips are plentiful x
Our room (Deluxe) were nicely located on the side of the island with a long stunning and white beach. The island is a beauty itself surrounded by nothing but the ocean. The furniture and equipment is a bit outdated and should be replace. Some of the areas of the resort require some modernization. But, the food is extraordinary. Simple, little choice but you find all you need.
I would like to say the best resort ever. The room was comfy and cleaned every day. Hospitality and people are so kind you feel you are so welcome to be here . Diving center is very great. The diving teacher are very professional and also super friendly. If you are diver i would recommend to take 6 days unlimited package. The food is 5 star quality and everything is home made. Then i would love to suggest take "All inclusive Paket" include everything and you will get some gift too🌴❤️ All together we had great experience and wonderful holiday with a lot of wonderful people!
It was our first time to Maldives and we chose Filitheyo Island Resort because of the excellent reviews (which turned out to be true). The housereef was very close to the beach: we saw turtles, little sharks, colorful fish and corals. The food was great and every meal different. The staff was very kind and professional; special thanks to Dwika and Ali that served us very well at the restaurant and to Susi for helping us many times during the stay. We also try a diving experience and it was fantastic, and we did some excursions like the whale shark snorkeling: with the help of Susi and Mufa and the crew of the boat we saw two whale sharks and it was amazing! The room was cool and comfortable: we really enjoyed the outdoor shower, and all the resort in general was very clean. We left there a piece of heart, we hope to come back soon!…
Your Filitheyo holiday really starts with the sea plane flight - a wonderful experience in itself - from the bustling island capital of Male. The 40 minute trip offered a tantalising glimpse of other tiny clusters of beach-fringed island resorts below before our arrival and a VIP welcome after a short boat transfer. First, it was across the decked walkway from the main island to our water villa which would be base for our week's stay - panoramic views across the ocean to neighbouring islands, a rear terrace for sun bathing and steps leading down to the clear blue waters of the surrounding reef. Not forgetting the huge four poster bed and corner bath with jets to add to the feeling of tropical luxury. But it's the clear waters and it's rich treasure of colourful and varied sealife that should keep you pleasantly occupied for your stay - it did us! Stingrays, turtles and an array of rainbow coloured fish. Talking of food, the buffet dishes served up from the restaurant were as diverse as the cultural mix of the Maldives - influences of Asian, the Middle East and other parts of the world, and more than enough to satisfy the most sophisticated palate. There’s plenty more to do - fishing trips can be booked if you fancy a day's change of scenery, hire a paddle board to take in the island from a different view or for those wanting a more relaxing break the health spa is a must with a full menu of recuperative treatments - our massages were the perfect antedote for a rainy day! …
This is our 3th visit to Filiteyo. The restaurant, has great food. The staff is so friendly. They will do everything for you. The resort is older but a typical Maldivian resort. The housereef is amazing. Unfortenately we had a couple of rainy and stormy days, but we were 12 days so we had also sunny days, so keep in mind that July month is rainy season. Again we had a great holiday at Filitheyo. Special thanks to Hussein, Rubel,Farouk. See you soon!
We went on an all inclusive deal which was amazing value. Absolutely gorgeous place, probably not as opulent as newer resorts but makes up for it in charm. Everything, room, food, bar service, reception and of course the house reef was amazing! Big shout out to Ibrahim who looked after us (with a cheeky wit) at our 3 meals (always an adventure, never boring) each day, and Eklas our room attendant for your wonderful service. We just wish it was a longer stay!
This is our second visit to the resort, which was set back by the two years’ Covid travel restriction. We were warmly welcomed by the resort staff. The meals are flavorful, with international spread and worth the money. We stayed at the water villa, overlooking the pristine sea with the resort on the backdrop….so breathtaking… We enjoyed the clean beach, the house reef, it’s corals and colourful fishes. One word of advice for travellers, the July month is rainy season, and it may be a damper for some.
We are a family of 5 who travelled from the U.K. and stayed 5 nights. The trip was in celebration of our Silver Wedding anniversary and it certainly did not disappoint. The place was indeed a little paradise. True it is a small resort where not all services are 24/7 and not everything is shouting opulence. But this is the attraction for some of us who prefer it this way. The friendliness of the staff, the efforts they put in to make our stay as perfect as possible and the superb dishes from the kitchen- have all made our stay wonderful. The absolute highlight, which has been mentioned by many reviewers, is the house reef teeming with life, which can be accessed fairly easily via snorkelling & diving. From the water villas, one can see fish and corals through the clear waters, not to mention one can get into the water directly from one’s room! This was during the monsoons but we were blessed with pretty good weather. It rained at night and we did not have the postcard blue skies and water, but the air temperature was pleasant & warm, and the clouds give more character to the scenery. Resort holidays in the Maldives are expensive but we felt ours was definitely value for money.…
