We had a great lunch after a two and a half hour walk. We all hoped that the Giants rest would do a quality ploughman's lunch and they surpassed our expectations. It was also extremely reasonably priced. We couldn't recommend this more!

More than one visit over a few years. Good local brewery beer, Long Man, excellent food choices for lunch and inner menu, reasonably priced. Pub parking limited. Combine with a walk (uphill) to Long Man of Wilmington landscape sculpture. Recommended.

I am a 2 year old Sheltie Dog and the welcome I got was fantastic! The person serving asked my owners if I could have a treat and she then went and got me a delicious biscuit! There was also another dog with the family next to us and I had fun meeting a new friend, the person serving kept...

Enjoyed a fabulous meal at this gem of a place this weekend. The food was divine, service was excellent and the atmosphere perfect. Would highly recommend. It's set in beautiful countryside so an ideal place to start or end a country walk.

I went with friends for a birthday celebration and we had a delicious meal and the service was great! Most of us had one of the specials which was sausages cooked in cider and it was a very generous portion and extremely tasty! They do have vegetarian options. Cider seems to be one of their specialties many different types! Highly...

Used to go this venue frequently but had not been for over a year. Wished I hadn't left it so long. Fantastic and attentive service and great food. We all had something different, Fish, Local Sausages, Chicken and a Halloumi Salad. Verdict from all 4 of us was we will be back.

Took some friends for dinner, food was absolutely excellent. I had belly of pork that was absolutely fantastic with roasted beetroot. My friends had equally good food, rabbit pie and sausage and mash. We drank long blonde, a truly marvellous ale.

Lovely settings and the food was very good. The menu was varied and the presentation was very good. Service was friendly and despite it being very busy we didn't feel rushed in any way important when two of our party were elderly and slightly infirm.
