We visited as a family group for a wedding. Most were very happy with their rooms and with an evening meal we had. However the breakfast on the first morning was without doubt the worst service I have ever experienced anywhere. Despite offering breakfast from 7am until 10am no-one even turned up until 8.45 am ! There was absolutely no...

One night stay for the Burlesque Gala. Handy for the Hippodrome and across the road from the train station. Great spot. Very friendly staff, welcoming "regulars" and lovely bar. Food was delicious (had both evening meal and breakfast). Walls a little thin so take earplugs if you need them. A little dated, but clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money.

A day out in Todmorden. Quaint village feel and interesting market stalls. Lovely people and happy faces. Finished off with dinner at the Queens hotel with a glass of real ale. Menu was fantastic and we found it difficult to choose from the yummy selection. We settled on three different meals which were all wonderfully. The staff are lovely and...

We booked the hotel to attend a family function in the area. Other family members also made separate bookings for same period. Our room No5 was a large room, very spacious. Bed was comfy enough. We were disappointed with the bathroom, it had a large corner bath which was very dated and tired. The external bath panel had flaking paint...

If you want to be greeted by a surly receptionist as you have interrupted her date with the laptop, sleep in a cupboard with one eye open as your door won't lock from the inside then this is the ideal choice. The room was freezing cold, with extremely thin towels and stained carpet! It was the worst experience ever! It...

Went here for lunch on Saturday. Ordered a burger and a giant Yorkshire pudding with roast beef and also 2 coffees. The coffees finally arrived about 15 minutes later because the waitress didn't know how to make them and kept having to ask somebody. The waitress brought over some placemats and cutlery and practically threw them on the table nearly...
