This was the third stop of our 2 week trip of Tuscany. The hotel was so simple and basic but it was still the most memorable place of the entire trip. The location & the setting of the agriturismo is just amazing and after you stay here you actually start to understand life in Tuscany. The rooms are basic &...

We stayed at Il Rigo with a small group for three nights. Our room was spacious and even though the bathroom is tiny, it is nice. The food was fantastic, the location breathtaking, the family was charming. The farm is completely organic and has been for many years. This particular area is not wine country. It is wheat for pasta....

Our stay at Il Rigo was memorable. Very hospitable staff and owners, who speak very good English, good rooms, good breakfast, excellent location, scenery and environment and above all, if you want to experience true Italian family-style hospitality/food/habits, than this is definetly the place to book your next stay! We also had very informative and lovely cooking classes from one...

Along with 13 friends and customers, I spent the first week of April at Il Rigo. The location is ideal: a wonderful walk through the countryside to Pienza & San Quirico, a very short drive to many of the other towns & villages in the Orcia Valley. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with beautiful vistas. Breakfasts were excellent and...

We spent here four night, during Eastern Holidays. It is a wanderfull place with an incredible and suggestive view. The rooms are nice, with bathroom and fantastic panorama. Very complete breakfast with a lot of choice. Also the dinner is right, but with fixed menu. Around the Rigo you will find the most characteristic plces in Val D'Orcia, like San...

You will definitely need to use your GPS to find this wonderful inn. We stayed here one night in October. We were in the Poggio Bacocoa building where our room (no. 7?) was on the 1st floor. It was very comfortable with a modern bath. However, we had no hot (or even warm!) water upon waking up in the morning....

It was a very peaceful farmhouse and the dinner is good. Very good selection of wines as well. It is very quiet and is good for the soul. The rooms have a great view. You will definitely need a car to get there and you will need to look out closely for the signs but the find is well worth...

We loved our time at Il Rigo! The staff are exceptionally helpful and the location can't be beat. You are 3 miles from the closest town so you probably want to have a car. We didn't and we walked into town one day to catch the bus to the other local towns like Piensa and Montepulciano. Definitely recommend doing the...

Il rigo is in a fantastic setting about an hour south of Siena, on top of a small hill. We stayed ina converted pigsty which was nicer than it sounds. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The food was not great if you don't like meat.
