The room we got - beautiful indeed - had a (beautiful but) uncomfortable bed. We also could not locate a single armchair to sit comfortably in the whole (beautiful) place. And the breakfast is really really poor.

Our stay at Villa Astreo in '08 was the highlight of out trip to Italy. Francesco, Chiara, and Rosanna were so welcoming. We wish we had stayed more than two nights. We stayed in the pink room which was so charming. Be sure to ask about Roseanna's experience in il Palio, fascinating. The villa is a little hard to find...

My husband and I spent 10 days in Italy travelling to Rome, Amalfi coast and Tuscany. Villa Astreo was absolutely the most amazing and memorable place we have seen in all our many years of travel. Francesco and his family are wonderful, caring host and eager to share their family's rich heritage. The quiet throughout the Tuscan landscape was unforgettable...

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Astreo for two nights in May. Our stay was wonderful and our only regret that we didn't allow more time there. As many other reviewers have noted, the Villa Astreo is a family home that welcomes guests, not an impersonal hotel. Chiara, Francesco and their mother, Rosanna are all delightful people and...

Villa Astreo is a unique place with unforgetable atmosphere and unforgetable owners. We spent a week in villa and had wonderfull time. Francesco and his family were treating us more like friends then guests, and were very helpfull in all aspects. Villa itself has huge rooms and is a muzeum of this most interesting family. The view from the house...

Ahhh! Astreo. My husband and I have just returned from a mini round the world trip. Astreo is top of our list of highlights. Francesco, the owner of the villa is one of the nicest, most helpful people we met in Italy. He welcomed us with open arms, carried all our bags upstairs for us and then invited us for...

Francesco, Chiarra and Rosanna were the perfect hosts ...Villa Astreo is rich in history, charm and warmth. They were able to give us all kinds of tips on places to go, great directions, what to do (and in our case, i was ill on arrival, where to get some medicine) ... the Villa is a family heritage property ... don;t...

What a wonderful 5 nights my husband and I had here. Francesco and Chiara were SO friendly and helpful. When we arrived Francesco offered us wine and taralli as he mapped out routes and hill towns for us to visit. His directions made travelling throughout Tuscany enjoyable. Our room (green room) was comfortable and airy (the shower is slightly narrow)...

Villa Astreo is such a special place!!! The owners, Francesco, his sister Chiara and their mother welcome you into their home and hearts! They went out of their way to make our stay the most enjoyable we experienced on our vacation. We spent four weeks travelling to various parts of Italy and, without a doubt, Villa Astreo topped them all...

The room in Astreo is very spacious. The bathroom is very comfortable especially the show water temperature come up fast. The owner Franseco and Chiara are very friendly and also informative. Base on their advice, we were able to visit Chianti area with great experience, find the great restaurant in both Vagliagli and Siena. In addition, they also give us...

“We stayed in the Tower Room and I think this had the best view in the entire Villa! You can see Siena, Montereggio and San Gimignano!”

“Tower room is charming with beautiful view, but private bathroom outside of the room. We didn't mind, can't expect all modern comfort in a building like this.”

“I had to give 5 stars for all options even though they don't have room service or fitness service, but who cares about that when you are in Tuscany?? Definitely have google maps to get around and be ready to eat at just one of the three restaurants the town has to offer (which alternated the evenings they are open, but simply had the most amazing food)”
