Great spot. Excellent position and facilities. Our campsite was beside a great playground for the kids and was a stones throw to the beach. Excellent showers and toilet block. Close to full kitchen and cooking options, including free bbq, large fridge and freezers for campers to use. Friendly and helpful staff. A great kiwi camping holiday. Have already rebooked for...

Very good camping at an idyllic spot for a reasonable price in comparrison with other camps this time of the year. The camp is identified as a DOC (Department of Conservation) camp and is situated as last camp on the left before the domain. The expansive white sandy surf beach and outlook to the "Hen and Chicken" islands is simply...

This camp site is in a good location. It is well equipped and while the rooms are very basic, they are presented well. They are clean and bright. I am puzzled by the questions below asking about it being a Hotel. My answers as No mean No because it is NOT a Hotel - it is a Camp ground with...

Hi there, thank you for your review. I'm afraid i'm not sure what you mean about the hotel question; is it part of the reviewing process? We are indeed a camp ground with a range of cabins available. We have everything from basic kitchen cabins to fully self-contained cabins available which have bathrooms with showers and toilets. Perhaps if you...

Perfect location right on the beach, so great to sleep to the sound of the waves. Was with a group of 7, spent one night in bunk room which was nice and tidy and one night in a tent. Amenities very clean and tidy and very friendly staff. We will be back.

Just spent 3 nights in our caravan on a large shaded powered site. Great very clean facilities, close to diary and cafe and just over the dune to the wonderful beach. Surf club just there also for safety. Good facilities for families. Recommended

My son and I had a camping experience together at Camp Waipu Cove. We felt safe and secure and all the facilities were available and clean. The beach was only a hop, skip and a jump away. My son enjoyed riding his bike around and we even enjoyed a bike together on the new track. Can't wait until it reaches...

I'm so glad to hear you and your son had such a great stay with us. Over the summer we ran some activities at the camp to help raise money for the cycleway so hopefully that went a little way towards getting the next section completed! We look forward to welcoming you back to stay with us again in the...

We booked a kitchen cabin for a break away as there were no self-contained cabins available. The cabin was well equipped, but we thought a small table & possibly stools inside would have been convenient Ablution block was excellent, very clean & even had Kiwi music playing - nice touch. Quiet & secure site really close to a great beach...

Thank you for the great recommendation! Our sheltered BBQ areas are one of the new developments from the last 12 months and they seem to have been very well received so it's great to hear that you were able to enjoy them.
