We had lunch at this place though we didn't stay here.. The food was awesome and delicious.. Especially, the rasam is amazing.. We ordered a thali/meals which costs around 250/- but worth it. The rice is unlimited. You don't get curd and that could be a drawback.. The place is centrally located and might be good for stay as well.. They also serve ice creams. Not a lot of flavours you get but the taste is good..

Dear Sir, Thanks for your five star rating. We appreciate it. We are happy to know that you had enjoyed the place and the facilities provided. We are keeping the place very homely and do not to run it as a commercial enterprise only to make our guests feel at home and our staff from the villages around to be comfortable in their discharge of their duties. Thanks a Ton for choosing to stay with us.

This hotel is the closest you can get to being in the heart of the mountains and jungles, while being on top of one, with a fantastic view of everything around you. I came here to stay as close as I could to the living root bridges. The rooms are simple but very clean. The food was great, the staff; extremely accommodating and kind. If you're looking for an eco-adventure and a nature-filled weekend, staying here is your best bet. Coming from Delhi, the hotel arranged a taxi to pick me up at the airport for a 5 hour drive to their resort (great scenery and totally worth the travel time). Being female and traveling alone, it was also perfectly safe and pleasant. The hotel is actually near another root bridge that's less of a tourist focal point and I thought this one (Umkar

Dear Ms.Jolsen, Thank you so much for your kind words of appreciation for our staff and for our property. We are glad that you had a pleasant stay and enjoyed visiting the some of Living Root Bridges around. The trek to Double Decker Root Bridge is indeed getting a bit crowded thesedays given the amount of focus it's getting, but there are other lesser known bridges too, just 2-3 kms away. A few weeks ago, a European couple also commented that they preferred the jungle trek to Umkar & Umunoi Living Root Bridges. Good news is we have charted many trekking routes, and most are on paths less travelled. For avid trekkers, we also recommend trek through limestone karst areas in winter, where the landscape is very unique and through which local areca nut farmers walk to get to their farms. Well, now you have something to look forward too on your next visit! :) Once again thank you for the lovely review and recommendation. Cheers!

It's 15 KM away from Cherrapunjee through the jungle and actually located in Laitkynsew village. They offer great foods but little expensive. It's a small place with view from one side only. The linens could have been better, rooms and furniture need revamping. There's a playroom for kids. There is no TV in rooms. Network in the area is poor and the so-called resort does not provide WiFi. But if you just get bored in the maddening city life and just want to relax, you can come here, sleep-eat and repeat and just relax.

Dear Sir, Thanks for your Three Star Rating. Yes, our place is located in Laitkynsew village that is 15 km from Cherrapunjee town. Since our area falls under the heavy rainfall area indicated by Cherrapunjee we have named it Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort being the very first place that was opened 20 years back for tourists to stay in Cherrapunjee. We have different categories of rooms and we are upgrading the facilities in all the rooms at regular periods. TV is not provided in the Rooms and common TV is provided in the Lobby to enable families to have more time to interact among themselves and enable closer family bonding by removing the usual distractions to enjoy a better family holiday. The non-provision of TV is specifically mentioned in our website. Wifi is provided in the Lobby area. We have created many outdoor activities such as trekking, taking bath in fresh water springs, waterfalls, Riven Canyoning and Adventure Caving in winter. We appreciate your frank review. Thanks for the same.
