We stayed for 3 nights, and were delighted by the resort. The location and the service was excellent. The breakfast /dinner service was bit slow and I hope they add some whole/cut local fruits to the spread to make it more wholesome .The hotel gave us packed breakfast the previous night for next day early departure to the double decker root and rainbow falls. They also offer good stay and food to the drivers. The evening live music adds to the charm ,there is a bonfire in the night - and overall a very good experience. Lily and Riya at the reception deserves special mention for their good service.
Located in a top of a hill with an excellent view. The service is good. Owners are polite and believe in hospitality . Just relax and enjoy your stay. The rooms are clean. Ample space for parking. Food is good. Overall good experience
It’s situated on top of the hill at Cherrapunjee. Location wise it’s excellent. Very panoramic view of the hills and falls. Very peaceful place. The rooms are big enough with all basic facilities. From here you can visit the double trek root bridge. The hotel has cycles yoga mat etc., Walk in the forest in the morning is arranged by the hotel. This resort organizes music in the evening and bonfire. A place where we can peacefully stay and enjoy the nature. Very refreshing to stay. Very well maintained. All of us enjoyed our stay here.
Had to call off my visit to Cherrapunji due to travel restrictions but shall make a trip on the first opportunity as I was impressed with the Hostess Angela who demonstrated immense Integrity Intent Empathy and Compassion Humility in my several interactions with her.. looking forward to the visit
Property is located approx 10km from Sohra centre and reached via a winding road that is being asphalted. The resort is clean, rooms airy and most importantly, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Food has that homecooked feel and tasty too. Apart from the fixed vegetarian fare, we could also order non veg items. We used a guide and must say, Fedric is very good at his job. The evening campfire with live music by the boys from the village is an added bonus. Angela, who helps in managing the resort, helped us curate a super itinerary which made for a truly memorable visit.
The road to the resort is horrible (almost 30kms). We struggled to get to the resort that too late in the night it’s an isolated area. We booked premium rooms, the rooms are totally different from the one promised in pictures. The director(an old man) was very rude towards us he was going to hit me when we complained about the services. Food was bad in taste. Overall, bad bad experience. We had to immediately vacate and look for an alternative. Don’t book if you want a hassle free stay.
Wonderful place to eat and relax. Food was good and service was excellent. The view from the restaurant was spectacular not to forget the amazing clifftop pool. Staff was well spoken. Will make sure I visit again.
We visited this resort in the month of May. I'm an avid traveler and from South of India. Without a doubt the hospitality we enjoyed at the resort is the BEST we have ever hard. The staff is all women and very courteous despite many questions you have about the sight seeing options. The walk down the resort into the Lainkyntsew village is very charming.. interacting with the small children and family was very pleasing. The village also has a primary health care center which is well maintained with quality staff. The view in front of the resort and from the Rooms is awe-inspiring to see the valley. Please go for the deluxe rooms on the top floor for best view. The kitchen in the resort serve very delicious vegetarian food including South Indian and any made to order. The owner…
I and my friend visited this resort on 11&12 March. It was my second trip to cherrapunje and second visit to this resort. Though previously it was more beautiful according to my feeling but now it has developed more with new building and annexe building. But the rooms are decent, very clean, spacious, staff very cordial and owner also very friendly. The ambience is still the same, the buffet breakfast and dinner is really wholesome and I liked a lot. You get to taste local pineapple and mulberry juice . Overall it's a grand experience and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I stayed in a standard double bed room. One should not leave the opportunity to stay here once you are in cherrapunje.
The choice of staying here was made by a friend. IT certainly turned out to be a great choice, We were a group of old friends and we could not have asked for a better experience. We were greeted by the friendly staff on arrival and they were very attentive to all our need. In fact some electric points were not working in the room allotted to me and I was upgraded to an other room till the next day when the resort had things back in Order. the rooms are quite basic but clean and neat. the food was very good, like home food and had a wide variety. The Evening bonfires were a great place to chat around. .All in all a great place and cheers to Mr. Dennis for his exceptional hospitality.
