Stayd for one day. Hotel is located in the heart of Kohima, rooms are specious and well maintain. parking facility available but parking at own risk. Food quality and quantity is not good, need improvement.
The property is situated in the heart of the town near the taxi stand. The property is well maintained and is under Nagaland Tourism. The rooms are cozy and the food is excellent. The service of the people are also very nice and fast.
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights i.e on 20th & 21st nights. As our Tour operator had clarified that it is difficult to get good hotels in places like Kohima & we were mentally prepared for that but this hotel was much better than our expectations..Rooms were good & staff polite & helpful. The food was much better than expectations. All in all we enjoyed our stay in this hotel
Old style hotel Keep it in mind that it is a Basic hotel and not luxury hotel so facilities are ok if your expectations are not very high Parking available and also taxi stand nearby so it’s easy to commute Food is good, staff is helping Would recommend this hotel
This hotel is one of the good hotels in Kohima. The staff services are very good and reliable. The place of the hotel is good. Food is very nice. View from the Hotel rooms is beautiful. Overall an excellent place to stay.
I stayed here in the first week of December, during Hornbill festival for 3 days Kohima has very few decent options; this being one, but this is a very basic hotel. Rooms- Clean, functional Bathroom- Very basic and shabby Lifts- no lifts Restaurant- one restaurant, food average, Facilities- No tea coffee facilities in the room Location- Central, walking distance from the market. As Kohima as a city is very badly equipped with few options, this is a clean place with familiar food.
We stated three nights here. Location very good. Parking very good. Reception area large. Rooms are good sized. There is no elevator!! So, if you’re on 2nd floor, you walk up n down. Further, the dining sucks. Very bad attitude, terrible service. Hardly any choice of food. Very slow service. But then I’m told most of north east is like that.
We reached Kohima at around 6:30 pm. Most of the Hotels in Kohima do not provide parking facility and that is a big problem as u cannot park your vehicle on the road in a place like Nagaland. After searching few Hotels someone told me about Japfu..And believe me this is the safest place in Kohima I guess. Placed in a Hill top with beautiful views, Japfu is really a great place to stay. All the staffs were very courteous and always ready to help. Rooms r spacious enough and the entire hotel is very clean. Food quality was very good. But I want to request the restaurant to serve the foods in covered utensils as it gets cold in minutes. Overall a satisfactory stay with my family and surely recommend others..
Stayed in Japfu hotel for one night during my business travel to Kohima in July 2017. Nice property on little hill top. Neat and clean rooms and warm welcoming staff. Decent food and service. No AC or Fans in the room as not required due to pleasant weather in Kohima. But I needed a pedestral fan which was promptly provided hotel. Over all nice feeling.
I have been to Kohima quite a few times, and at least twice before I have stayed at Hotel Japfu, on a small hillock within the hilly Kohima. This time again, it was a pleasant experience. The Hotel went beyond its regular brief to help our staff to set up an uninterrupted video conference facility; this allowed our colleagues from Bengaluru to participate in the proceedings of the high level committee meeting for two days. Overall very good experience...
