Detailed Reviews
We stayed here two nights over Christmas. We had the entire hotel pretty much to ourselves as it was almost empty! The staff members were very polite and helpful (albeit a bit uninformed about what was going on in town...) and the rooms were comfortable enough. The food in the restaurants was also quite good (kind of a bonus getting fairly well-made South Indian stuff for breakfast...). The only negative I'd say is the location - it's a bit removed from the main town and all the action - which may be good or bad depending on your viewpoint.

It's a nice cozy 4 star hotel quite away from the main town of Kohima. The rooms and ambience is really good. The open restaurent in the entrance of the hotel will attract your immediate attention. The rooms are spacious and enough for 2 people. the rooms are touch expensive but worth the price. Complementary breakfast options are limited but enough for breakfast. Staff members are curteous.

We had a fully positive experience at Hotel Vivor. From arrival to departure, the Staff looked after us very well and the food and service were great. We were lucky to have a room with lovely views over the Nagaland hills but the typical Indian smog/pollution/smoke detracted from the view somewhat. The room was clean, comfortable, had good bedding and the bathroom was fully functional and clean, with plenty of hot water. I am happy to recommend Hotel Vivor to fellow travellers.

The biggest let down of this hotel is its service and food. Staff at the reception is not proactive in giving information, you have to keep asking them. Food is really bad, no taste at all. Rooms are clean and house keeping staff is polite. However, People at the reception and restaurant is very casual, not trained properly. If you are visiting Kohima for sight seeing and stuff then this hotel is very far from all the places and taxi is way too costly in the city. There is no restaurant or proper market nearby.

The rooms are lovely and it is a clean place to stay. However what really let the hotel down was the service. The team are clearly not trained well enough. We had difficulty with many things, such as 35 mins to get a drink on the first night, airport transfers being confirmed and then not actually available and waiting 1 hour 45 mins for dinner, at which point we realised they hadn’t started cooking our food. There were piles of dirty plates left near our rooms for hours (not ours), and just a general confusion when any question was asked. The staff were all very polite, but just not trained enough to be able to give the service that is expected. Really disappointed with the hotel in the end, which is a shame because we felt great when we checked in!

Very welcoming and attentive staff. The room service was daily and everything was clean and well presented.
The Restaurant food was excellent and was a pleasant surprise. Apart from Indian food I had a pleasant honey chicken stir fry, spaghetti carbonara and a creamy mushroom and garlic soup. The food out of season was Indian based and varied on a daily basis. The hotel was quiet with great views over Kohima.

Good experience. The rooms were clean, the staff were cooperative and friendly. The restaurant at the hotel had a good selection of dishes on their menu and the food was extremely good, which is especially helpful if you are a vegetarian, as there are not a lot of local restaurants nearby that have vegetarian food.

Must rank as one of the better hotels in Nagaland. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room for two was really comfortable with adjoining shower. Food was good with a range of choices. We had a two night stay and really enjoyed being there. Make this your first choice in Kohima. Well placed for a trip to the War Memorial (very moving indeed) & Museum (closed when we were there!)

Its the second time I stay here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The resaurant serve tasty food with fast service.
The room is spacious. The bathrooms is on international standard. I would say this can easily be rated a 4 star hotel on international level and 5 star in Indian level.

Lovely people
Ageing perhaps at the wings and with virtually no internet (but that's the case for the whole neughbourhoid it seems), the Vivor hotel is graced with a wonderful staff and a rather good cook. Excellent service. A pity though that it is located on the far side of Kohima and that the traffic jams going into town are a wonder to behold (or not!)...

I'm sorry I can't help as the hotel was booked by our travel agent. Try to find out on Google. It's certainly worth staying at though.Get a room at the back overlooking the mountains, not one at the front which looks over the car park!!
I'm sorry, but I don't know. We were only there for 2 nights at the beginning of our holiday, so didn't need the laundry.
The hotel says yes but for all practical purposes its no. I had to go for a walk to get my quota of exerecise.
