Super welcoming and helpful check in. Spacious clean room and bathroom with comfortable bed. Everything within short walk or cheap rickshaw ride. Assisted me with a car rental at very reasonable rate plus arranged my onward train ticket at cost price. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent at the in house restaurant. Dinner was so good I went back the second night. There is a reasonable 30 minute wait but that is because it is freshly made and will not disappoint.
Was super happy I chose to stay here.

Good to be back to this cosy hotel once again. The management are great and look after us so well. Service is everything if you want people to come back again. Food is also good and everything you need is outside. The hustle and bustle of Bandar Bazaar. I recommend this place.

Good hotel with huge room and amenities for a comfortable stay in Sylhet. Located in quieter side of the city but not far from center. The only downside is its food quality. Rest is all good. Would recommend for business trip or personal.

It was my 2nd visit to this hotel. The hotel is located a bit far from airport, but the location is ok. Rickshaw and other transports were available. Amenities were average, room service was good. Overall staff behavior and professionalism was excellent. But the furnitures were a bit old fashioned. The buffet breakfast was ok. Here are some of my findings

1. Location 3/5
2. Amenities 3/5
3. Cleanliness 4/5
4. Decoration 3/5
5. Staff Behavior 5/5
6. Furnitures 3/5
7. Buffet Breakfast 3/5
8. Restaurant 4/5
9. Price 3/5
10. Ventilation 4/5

Overall Experience: 3/5

This is a safe hotel. A bit old but somehow ok for 2-3 days business trip.

I stayed at Metro for 2 nights during my business trip in Bangladesh beginning of this month. The hotel is modern with good spacious and clean bedrooms. The weather in Bangladesh tends to be cold during December and January, and the hotel has not taken into consideration of providing heating other than a very thin blanket on the bed. I was very cold and could not sleep during the night. I went to the reception to see the duty manager and he was very unhelpful and did not care about his guests!! When I pointed out that the reception area had heating which greeted the guests and then mislead them to thinking the rooms would be nice and warm, again he just gave me a blank look. The rooms are not vented or sound proof as you can constantly hear the noise of car horns all the time.

The breakfast was well below average as it was cold or lukewarm if you’re lucky.

Not happy with the level of service and food, I decided to move out on the second day as I planned to stay at Metro for the length of my stay. With help of my acquaintances I moved into Hotel Star Pacific other side of the town adding more costs to my trip. Hotel Star Pacific is much superior hotel however bit pricier but worth the while. My advice… Stay Away from Hotel Metro.

We were on a two-week guided tour of Bangladesh. We would gladly stay here again. Friendly staff. Comfortable reception. Reasonable food. The bed was comfortable and no road noise even though on a major thoroughfare.

Clean and comfortable rooms (although the closet in our room was damaged in the inside), decent wifi speedn, complimentary breakfast, and a good location. The service was good, although the resturant kept us from ordering food because every day they seemed to have parties...and wouldn't allow us to order certain food items as it would inconvenience them. That I found annoying. But apart from that, it was a comfortable week long stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Nice hotel at good price. First time they have provided welcome drinks though they have not provided the same in my recent visit. Rooms are spacious. Staffs are friendly. Foods are ok. Complimentary buffet breakfast. Payment can be made through credit cards. No problem to stay again.

I stayed as a single adult, there were to ladies in the group who shared a room, I would not imagine that the hotel even checks or why they would want to. So my answer is I am not sure
